About The Role:

The Linux System Administrator is responsible for day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of Linux-based systems. This role focuses on system stability, patching, monitoring, and incident resolution while following established standards and procedures.


What You'll Do:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL/Ubuntu/Rocky/CentOS), both physical and virtual.

  • Manage core services: SSH, DNS, DHCP, NTP, LDAP/SSSD, postfix, NFS/SMB, systemd, and cron management.

  • Apply patches and kernel updates; maintain package repos (yum/dnf/apt).

  • Monitor system health and performance (top, iostat, sar, vmstat, netstat; or via Prometheus/Zabbix).

  • Implement backup/restore routines (e.g., Veeam/Bacula/NetBackup); test recoveries.

  • Manage storage (LVM, mdadm RAID, multipath, iSCSI/FC) and filesystems (ext4/xfs/btrfs).

  • Harden hosts per baseline (CIS/STIG), firewall rules (iptables/nftables/firewalld), SELinux/AppArmor.

  • Write basic automation/scripts (Bash; optionally Python) for routine tasks.

  • Respond to incidents; perform root cause analysis; document runbooks and SOPs.

  • Support users/dev teams with environments, permissions, and troubleshooting.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 1-5 years administering Linux(Rocky/RHEL/Ubuntu) in production.

  • Certifications (nice-to-have): Red Hat RHCSA, CompTIA Linux+, LPIC-1.

  • Solid understanding of Linux OS fundamentals.

  • Experience with systemd, networking, storage, and filesystems.

  • Package management, log analysis (journalctl, syslog).

  • Storage and filesystem management; backup fundamentals.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.)

  • Basic virtualization (VMware/KVM/Nutanix) and/or container basics (Docker).

  • Basic scripting skills (Bash); version control (Git).

  • Understanding of security best practices: SSH keys, PAM, auditing (auditd).

  • Ability to follow procedures and work under supervision.

Working Conditions:
  • Consistent non-standard work or overtime as business requires.

  • On-call availability required as necessary.

  • Professional, office environment.

  • Some travel required.

La rémunération annuelle réelle offerte sera déterminée en fonction de plusieurs variables, incluant la région géographique, l’expérience de travail, la formation ainsi que les compétences et réalisations. Ce rôle met l’accent sur la stabilité des systèmes, l’application de correctifs, la surveillance et la résolution d’incidents, tout en respectant les normes et procédures établies.

Ce que vous ferez
  • Installer, configurer et maintenir des serveurs Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu/Rocky/CentOS), tant physiques que virtuels.

  • Gérer les services essentiels : SSH, DNS, DHCP, NTP, LDAP/SSSD, Postfix, NFS/SMB, systemd et la gestion des tâches cron.

  • Appliquer les correctifs et mises à jour du noyau; maintenir les dépôts de paquets (yum/dnf/apt).

  • Surveiller la santé et la performance des systèmes (top, iostat, sar, vmstat, netstat; ou via Prometheus/Zabbix).

  • Mettre en œuvre les routines de sauvegarde et de restauration (ex. : Veeam/Bacula/NetBackup) et effectuer des tests de récupération.

  • Gérer le stockage (LVM, RAID mdadm, multipath, iSCSI/FC) et les systèmes de fichiers (ext4/xfs/btrfs).

  • Renforcer la sécurité des hôtes selon les normes (CIS/STIG), règles de pare-feu (iptables/nftables/firewalld), SELinux/AppArmor.

  • Rédiger des scripts et automatisations de base (Bash; Python en option) pour les tâches courantes.

  • Répondre aux incidents, effectuer des analyses de cause fondamentale et documenter les procédures (runbooks, SOP).

  • Soutenir les utilisateurs et les équipes de développement pour les environnements, permissions et dépannage.

Ce que nous recherchons
  • Baccalauréat en informatique, TI ou domaine connexe (ou expérience équivalente).

  • 1 à 5 ans d’expérience en administration Linux (Rocky/RHEL/Ubuntu) en environnement de production.

  • Certifications (atout) : Red Hat RHCSA, CompTIA Linux+, LPIC-1.

  • Solide compréhension des bases du système d’exploitation Linux.

  • Expérience avec systemd, le réseautage, le stockage et les systèmes de fichiers.

  • Gestion de paquets, analyse de journaux (journalctl, syslog).

  • Gestion du stockage et des systèmes de fichiers; notions de base en sauvegarde.

  • Connaissance des outils de surveillance (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.).

  • Connaissances de base en virtualisation (VMware/KVM/Nutanix) et/ou en conteneurs (Docker).

  • Compétences de base en script (Bash); contrôle de version (Git).

  • Compréhension des meilleures pratiques de sécurité : clés SSH, PAM, audit (auditd).

  • Capacité à suivre les procédures et à travailler sous supervision.
