About the Position: 

Cologix is searching for a System Analyst to be the bridge between our software teams and other business units. This individual will help the organization solve technical issues by evaluating, documenting, tracking, and helping to launch custom software and integrations. At this core, they will seek to understand the high-level requirements to break them down into technical detailed requirements, then work closely between engineering and business stakeholders to ensure that software solutions meet business objectives. 

What you do daily:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and end-users to define and document requirement specifications (fit-gap analysis, RTM), functional documentation, data mapping, system diagrams, High-level Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and flowcharts to ensure a clear and comprehensive understanding of objectives
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing software systems, identifying areas for improvement, optimization, and integration of new features
  • Liaison between technical and non-technical resources to facilitate effective communication and ensuring alignment of goals
  • Collaborate with quality assurance resources and end users to design/conduct test cases, scenarios, and test plans based on documented requirements
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to propose technical recommendations or alternatives, including cost and benefit analysis
  • Triage and troubleshoot reported bugs
  • Review and assess impact of software vendor's release notes
  • Assist team in removing Impediment and in grooming backlogs for future activities

What makes you a good fit: (Qualifications)

  • BA in computer science or information technology, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software analytics, programming, IT, and/or systems support
  • Experience designing, scaling, and supporting high performing systems
  • Proven track record working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical team members.
  • Proficiency in creating clear and concise software requirement documents, use cases, and user stories.
  • Working experience in a distributed software architecture
  • Knowledge in programming concepts and code languages such as JavaScript, SuiteScript, and Apex and/or similar languages preferred
  • Experience supporting common enterprise ERP & CRM platforms, including NetSuite, Salesforce, ServiceNow, MuleSoft, or related systems
  • Experience with software development tools like Jira or similar
  • Technology or Project Management certifications and training a plus
