Job DescriptionThe Supply Chain team brings the visions of our colleagues to life. Once our teams have landed on a product, we identify what they need to build the product. We’re passionate about every product we build because it reinforces our commitment to sound. We are looking for a Supply Planner who will work out of our new Atlanta, GA office!
Bose Network Planners have a deep understanding of Supply Chain planning, Manufacturing and IBP best practices identifying opportunities for tool and process improvements. They act as the focal point for information, communication and escalation of major supply constraints to internal Bose forums for rapid resolution and lead facilitators and drivers of the S&OP process as well as supply balancing routines to develop a feasible supply plan. Network Planners are accountable for DC and global inventory and customer fill rate. Network Planners are expected to partner successfully and often with Bose internal customers and suppliers in support of overall execution of the global supply strategy.
Essential Functions:
Supply Plan
- Accountable for developing, implementing, and maintaining a supply strategy for the global distribution and manufacturing network, including contract manufacturers, for assigned products.
- Analyze and create supply plans in RapidResponse (Kinaxis) that support customer fill rate service levels and balance demand and inventory at each node of the Global Supply Chain.
- Support teams as needed on escalation action plans for supplier driven product supply shortages or managing global excesses including meeting participation with suppliers to create action plans for managing the exceptions.
Supply & Demand Exceptions
- Understand root cause analysis of supply and demand exceptions. Analyze and revise as feasible and communicate to stakeholders (demand planning and sales). Manage allocation of product shortages globally.
Scenario Planning (What if)/Business Management
- Develop supply scenarios for assigned products to continuously improve performance relating to both service levels and total costs through continuous evaluation of supply, product strategies and the positioning of inventory across the global supply chain.
S&OP Process
- Review demand inputs to determine a supply plan and forecast that drives the supply chain and revenue forecast.
- Provide input to S&OP to incorporate major supply issues to the network plan and any major deviations to achieve the sales plan.
Capacity Management
- Set and manage the supplier (CM/JDM) future production requirements that support global supply needs.
- Support supplier relationships by providing collaborative, rolling, long-term production requirements.
New Products
- Actively participate and support new product introduction to ensure that supply network plans are optimally created and that supply plans are executed in support of the established timelines
IOS
- Manage global IOS. Support local owners of IOS as needed with action plans outside region.
- Manage lifecycle changes including distribution changes and end-of-life (EOL).
Logistics
- Utilize shipping analysis tools within RapidResponse to determine and execute profitable shipping strategies globally.

- Ability to provide innovative ideas to optimize supply chain and generate new ideas or alternatives that create value
Education and Experience
- B.S. or B.S. in supply chain management, science and/or engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience
