JOB PURPOSE:

Do you want to be a key player on the Supply Chain Leadership Team at Haleon Canada? Are you an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, not fazed by ambiguity and with a desire to be part of the Supply Chain Operations team? As the Supply Chain Operations Lead, you will be directly responsible for the overall Canadian Business Unit (BU) inventory budget as well as the replenishment strategy, planning activity and execution required to support the BU Performance objectives across all Brands and Categories as related to Financial performance (Top Line and Bottom Line growth) Service Excellence to our Customers (OTIF) as well as supporting long term planning initiatives related to Canadian BU Strategy Plans.

This role requires an individual with high change agility as they are operating in a complex Global Supply Chain model. Process ambiguity and ownership is a reality in this role and will require creative and structured problem-solving skills as well as the ability to influence across boundaries. Complexity in this role is also driven by having full scope across all brands within the Canadian BU with several different operating models based on our brand portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

This role will provide YOU with the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR Supply Chain Leadership career. These responsibilities include some of the following…

  • Primary owner of Canada BU Supply and Inventory to meet planned sales and financial targets including supply strategy and safety stock strategy as aligned to the North American Supply Hub.
  • Single Point of Contact to Supply Planning Directors in the North American Planning Hub to provide Canadian Business Unit context to North America and Global Supply Chain Network regarding plans and priorities for the Canadian BU – this includes risk mitigation requirements related to Supply Continuity and overall financial performance against short- and long-term objectives.
  • Financially, this role is responsible for development and delivery of annual budgets for inventory and Obsolete inventory, including providing visibility to risks and driving actions to mitigate risks through collaboration within the North America Quality Supply Chain, Canadian Commercial business partners and local Logistics operations. 
  • This role provides key inputs and visibility through the monthly BU S&OP process.
  • Lead the team in effective Innovation and Brand renovation initiatives to ensure executional excellence within CAD BU and Customers. This includes co-ordination across key functions (North America Hub, Project Management Board, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Sites) to meet planned launch timelines and cost expectations. Co-Leads (with Marketing) Portfolio simplification initiatives. Develops and executes exit and discontinuations strategies to adhere to business and financial expectations.
  • Lead execution of all packaging changes across all suppliers within network to ensure compliance to all requirements and business expectations. This includes management of costs and timeline adherence and ensuring adherence to all system (eScape/Champs) and local governance requirements.
  • Responsible for performance management and talent development of 5 – 6 direct reports.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • 8+ years of experience in Supply Operations/Business Analytics/Logistics operations/Supply Chain transformation;
  • 8+ years of experience with People Management;
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with concentration in Business or similar discipline;
  • End-to-End Supply Chain management experience Supply Planning/Demand Planning/Logistics/Customer Service management;
  • Experience in designing & re-engineering business processes; embedding through change management;
  • Experience/demonstrated knowledge and understanding within the following areas: CPG, Supply Chain Operations, Project management experience in the delivery of large complex projects, ideally across a variety of business areas;
  • Financial Acumen;
  • Strong leadership, networking, and communication and influence skills to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment;
  • Ability to operate and influence across business units across regions and management levels to drive change and achieve results;
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, simplify complex situations and translate and embed aligned to solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • 10 years of experience with People Management;
  • MBA preferred.
