Position: Group Leader/Supervisor - Industrial Services

Location: Ford Oakville

Job Type: On-site

Reports to: Facility Manager

Department: North American Operations

Position Purpose: Leadec provides general and detailed cleaning services within the automotive industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor to support operations in a fast-paced, industrial, production environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, flexibility in scheduling, and experience working with unionized teams is preferred.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
  • Works safely at all times.
  • Supervise hourly employees during assigned shifts
  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met
  • Coordinate staffing, workflow, and daily priorities
  • Provide coaching, training support, and performance feedback
  • Apply company policies and collective agreement requirements consistently
  • Communicate effectively with employees, management, safety, and union representatives
  • Support attendance management, reporting, and incident follow-up
  • Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
  • All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.

  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Ability to guide and train others.

 

Position Qualifications:

 

  • Prior supervisory or lead-hand experience required
  • Experience in a unionized environment preferred
  • Automotive or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Computer skills in outlook, excel & word required
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage teams in a shift-based operation
  • Flexible availability for days, evenings, nights, and weekends as required

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:


  • Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; climb or balance; kneel, crawl, stoop, or crouch.
  • Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.
  • Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
