OUR SUMMER SQUAD
Applications are open to current post-secondary students and recent graduates. This is a great opportunity for a current design student seeking an accredited internship as a requirement to graduate. We also welcome applicants from historically underrepresented groups or professionals making a career transition with less than 3 years of experience looking to take the next step in their career
This is a summer contract that will give you valuable exposure and skill-building opportunities within several of our departments. Salt XC’s Summer Squad will consist of a 4-month long contract, full-time hours, from May to August 2026, with the opportunity for a contract extension beyond this date.
Over the duration of the program, you can expect opportunities to network, meet Salters across other departments, participate in additional Learning & Development Opportunities, and receive mentorship from those currently in their desired field. This is currently a Hybrid work opportunity with 2-3 days in office required at our Salt Toronto Head Office.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Summer Squad “Accounts” Team roles are perfect for marketers who want to grow their skills as a marketing generalists through supporting experiential marketing projects. At your core, you are project and event coordinator that loves thinking about the event details. You’ll be working in a collaborative team environment on your account, bringing your project to life with the help of several other departments at Salt.
As an Account Coordinator, no two weeks will ever be quite the same. This is a role for candidates who love a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You’ll enjoy a mix of time in-office and in-field, overseeing the production and execution of activations all summer.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Project & Operational Management
- Support the planning and execution of activations by assisting with timelines, logistics, and day-to-day task coordination.
- Help prepare materials, schedules, and on-site needs for fast-moving programs and events.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Assist with vendor and supplier coordination by tracking communications, assets, and key details.
- Support on-site vendor logistics and escalate issues or questions to the Account team as needed.
Financial Acumen
- Track purchases, receipts, and expenses against program budgets with accuracy and organization.
- Support basic budget administration and financial wrap-up for assigned programs.
Client Growth & Stakeholder Support
- Build an understanding of client objectives, products, and services to support activation goals.
- Assist with meeting preparation, notes, recaps, and follow-ups to support strong client relationships.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $40,000–$47,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, level of responsibility, internal equity, and business needs. This range represents the expected base salary for this role and does not include other elements of SALT/The Kitchen’s total rewards program.
