Purpose of the Role:

We have an exciting internship opportunity within our Private Equity team for a student enrolled in post-secondary studies specializing in Finance, Economics, or Business. This role is ideal for someone eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting while contributing to a dynamic, client-focused environment.

As a Summer Analyst, Private Equity, you will support the team in screening and analyzing new private equity investment opportunities and preparing materials for internal discussions and Investment Committee review. You will also contribute to the ongoing monitoring of existing investments and the preparation of regular reporting documents. This role is well-suited to someone who is passionate about investing and private capital, curious and analytical, and able to think critically and work independently while communicating clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders.

This will be a 3-month internship starting in June 2026. The location will be a hybrid of work from home and an in-office environment at our Toronto office.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Assist in screening and analyzing new private equity investment opportunities (across Funds, Co-Investments & Secondaries), including gathering information, conducting research, performing valuation analysis and summarizing key findings for the team.
  • Support in preparing internal discussion materials and Investment Committee materials
  • Support the ongoing monitoring of existing investments and help prepare regular reporting documents to support portfolio oversight and governance routines.
  • Help maintain organized investment materials (e.g., trackers, shared drive resources, supporting documentation) to enable efficient collaboration and repeatable team processes.
  • Contribute to project work and other related responsibilities as assigned, supporting the team’s priorities as needs evolve.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergrad program at an accredited Canadian university/college  in Finance, Economics or Business.
  • Passionate about investing and private capital, with a strong interest in private equity and learning how investments are evaluated and monitored.
  • Analytical and curious with the ability to think critically and independently and synthesize information into clear, concise insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization, able to manage multiple priorities and deliver materials in a timely manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce polished internal materials and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • A self-starter with the ability to take initiative and think critically to seek out information and solutions independently.
  • Experience working independently, as well as in partnership with other team members.
  • Available full-time for the full summer term.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada for the full term.
Compensation & Benefits Package:

Our internship position offers a competitive market annualized salary of $65,000, along with additional benefits.
