Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Student Summer 2026 placement with a start date of May 2026 and end-date of August 2026. 
 
In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026; or

  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April/August 2026), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a highly motivated Summer Student Commercial Credit Business Analyst to join our Commercial Banking team. This role offers hands-on exposure to the day-to-day operations of a large commercial banking portfolio while supporting strategic initiatives, process improvements, and cross-functional projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with business, risk, and operations partners to help analyze data, support initiatives, and improve reporting and operational effectiveness. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in banking, strategy, analytics, and enterprise operations.

What will you do?

  • Support day-to-day operational and project activities across Commercial Banking Commercial Credit

  • Assist with business analysis related to portfolio performance, operational metrics, and reporting

  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and research to support strategic decision-making and projects

  • Support process reviews and identify opportunities for efficiency and simplification

  • Coordinate and track project deliverables, timelines, and dependencies

  • Help prepare executive-ready materials, dashboards, and presentations

  • Partner with internal stakeholders across Operations, Sales, Risk, and Technology

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field

  • Interest in Commercial Banking, strategy, and operations

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively, strategically and integrate information from multiple sources

  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with PowerPoint required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proven capabilities in effective management of tasks and delivering high quality work

  • Team player who can also work independently

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, or Python is an asset but not required
