Position Overview

Our Go-To-Market (GTM) Finance organization is seeking a Strategy Manager to provide financial insights and guidance to support the Company’s long-term goals and strategies. This team focuses on the health and performance of our $7B+ business across varying intersections (e.g., geography, product, channel, industry, etc).  Our partnership across business and finance teams generates strategic insights that translate into actionable recommendations while ensuring the Company’s resources are deployed for the highest impact. 

We are hiring on our Strategic Finance team to oversee our business and to help influence key strategic decisions across the Company. By assessing the key metrics behind company performance and surfacing actionable insights, you will play a critical role within the team on guiding how we scale and optimize the business. 

An individual in this role will have to be comfortable addressing and tackling problems that are complex and ambiguous. This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and storytelling. The individual understands the importance of crafting narratives to senior leaders. 

Responsibilities

  • Establish views of our business with key metrics from both a GTM and industry level to understand trends to drive continuous business insights, improvements, and decision-making

  • Ability to build financial models based on key business levers, driving insights into the business, ultimately translating into actionable recommendations for senior leaders

  • Own, manage, and proactively drive complex and ambiguous projects formulating hypothesis and utilizing data where needed to support your analysis  

  • Enable the connection and translation of insights from topline to spend to determine what actions taken by the company equate to the highest order outcomes

  • Work cross-functionally across various stakeholders to align on narrative / messaging to create high-quality executive and Board-facing presentations

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting and / or internal strategy & operations, ideally with a SaaS focus

  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills that not only uncovers insights but also turns them into recommendations and action plans

  • Ability to work effectively across teams and functions dealing with various stakeholders and high levels of ambiguity

  • A motivated self-starter that understands the needs of a rapidly-changing environment to handle multiple projects at any given time

  • Understands the importance of “telling a story through numbers” that is easily digestible for senior leaders to enable decision making

  • Strong financial modeling experience in Excel and PowerPoint while understanding the importance of attention to detail

  • Advanced Data skills (e.g., SQL) a plus

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $119,600 and $164,450. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
