The Strategy and Divestment Manager leads and manages all product-related activities within a varied portfolio valued at >$40M, with strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration (i.e., forecasting, monitoring risk and opportunities, supply, product communications etc.), and strives to innovatively meet customer needs and drive efficiencies to fuel the development of transformative therapies for the overall organization. The portfolio is diverse and dynamic, comprised of Sanofi’s mature products including genericized and non-genericized products as well as authorized-generic partnerships.

This role is based in Toronto, CA. The ideal candidate will live within a reasonable daily commute distance.

  • Drive growth and maximize profitability by innovatively supporting patient needs; manage P&L, optimizing pricing, GTN & improving cash flow for foundation assets.
  • Collaborate with Global and Local partners to lead broad cross-functional teams in Global and local divestment and pruning projects.
  • Define and execute the portfolio strategy (Resource allocation, GTM, partnerships, Divestment, Pruning, Pricing); monitor and adapt strategies and tactics for the products in the portfolio. 
  • Work with cross-functional teams in the areas of inventory management, regulatory files, Health Canada requirements, pricing, packaging, contracting, manufacturing, Health Canada SAP & ADEC management, partner alliance management and contracting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams with the goal of ensuring patient supply, contributing to forecasting and forecast assumptions, monitoring and communicating risks and opportunities.
  • Identify efficient ways and opportunities to engage customers (pure play) and leverage synergies across omnichannel transformation across General Medicines
  • Manage all partner relationships, including business reviews, issue resolution, and contract management. 
     

About You

  • Earned Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Health Sciences or Finance
  • Proven track record in business development/divestments, partnerships a strong asset
  • At least 2 years of consistent brand management experience across all stages of product life cycle, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong project management experience with the ability to carry out many projects simultaneously and effectively, including work in contracting and negotiation
  • Experience in digital/omnichannel marketing, including proficiency with various digital transformational platforms and tools (i.e. data management platforms, customer data platforms, CRM tools & Data Asset management tools
  • Understanding of the Canadian Healthcare environment including Regulatory, Market Access, Pricing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Pharmacovigilance.
  • Strong financial acumen (modeling and valuation, P&L Management).
  • Strong analytic skills and ability to build business cases.
  • Strong leadership, ability to motivate and rally cross-functional teams and lead without authority, with a high level of drive, entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, and resilience
  • Excellent communication skills, active listener, high level of self-awareness, open to feedback. English (Required) and French (an asset)
