About the role.
Reporting to the Director, Global Rewards, the Strategic Workforce Planning Analyst plays a key role in enabling enterprise growth through data-driven workforce insights and forward-looking people strategies. This role is responsible for supporting the development and execution of McCain's global workforce planning approach, ensuring alignment between business strategy, talent demand, and organizational capability needs.
The incumbent will contribute analytical expertise and strategic insight to assess current and future workforce requirements, identify risks and opportunities related to capacity, capability, and cost, and support scenario planning across the enterprise. Working in close partnership with HR, Finance, and business leaders, the role will help translate growth and transformation priorities into actionable workforce plans, standardized tools, and scalable planning processes. The Strategic Workforce Planning Analyst will support consistency across regions while enabling flexibility to meet local market needs, ultimately driving operational efficiency, organizational health, and long-term value creation across functions and geographies. Compensation Package : $58,800.00 - $78,500.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility

What you'll be doing.
- Review and assess organizational structure and headcount change requests submitted by regions and functions, ensuring alignment with approved workforce plans, governance standards, and enterprise priorities.
- Analyze the financial implications of workforce changes, including headcount additions, role redesigns, grade changes, and reporting structure adjustments, partnering closely with Finance to evaluate cost impacts, savings erosion, and budget alignment.
- Own data preparation, validation, and reconciliation across HR and Finance data sources to ensure accuracy and consistency of workforce planning inputs and outputs
- Identify opportunities for efficiency, standardization, and role optimization across regions by assessing span of control, layers, duplication of roles, and capability alignment.
- Support regular workforce planning and governance cadences (e.g., monthly tracking, quarterly outlooks, annual planning) by preparing materials, analyses, and reporting
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior HR and business leaders to inform decision-making on organizational design, workforce investments, and trade-offs.
- Enable consistency across regions through scalable tools, frameworks, and analytics, while recognizing local market considerations and regulatory requirements.
- Track and report workforce metrics (e.g., headcount, cost, productivity indicators, organizational health metrics) to monitor trends, risks, and progress against planning assumptions.
- Partner with HRBPs, COEs, and regional leaders to support disciplined workforce planning practices and reinforce enterprise-wide governance.
- Support stakeholder understanding of workforce data, assumptions, and trade-offs by contributing to clear materials, templates, and documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of workforce planning processes, including documentation, controls, and cadence, to strengthen transparency, speed, and decision quality.
What you'll need to be successful.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Analytics, Human Resources, or a related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with demonstrated experience translating complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and use of complex formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, Power Query)
- Experience analyzing headcount, workforce cost, and organizational structure data, preferably in a large, matrixed or global organization
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand financial implications of workforce decisions and partner effectively with Finance
- Ability to work with ambiguity and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, transformation-oriented environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to HR and business stakeholders
- High attention to detail, strong governance mindset, and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity
- Working knowledge of HR systems is beneficial, particularly SAP and SuccessFactors
- Proficiency in Power BI (or similar data visualization tools), including building dashboards, data modeling, and storytelling with data is an asset
