The Strategic Sourcing, Business Partner will support Interac’s strategic sourcing and vendor selection process. You will provide support in optimizing the selection and management of new vendors through the strategic sourcing and RFP processes. You will ensure the best value and quality of Interac vendors are selected by supporting the coordination of RFPs, strategic sourcing initiatives, analyzing supplier capabilities and collaborating with stakeholders on the selection of vendors.

You’ll be responsible for:  

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements for products/services, creating comprehensive RFP documents including specifications, evaluation criteria and terms, and managing the RFP process including distribution, vendor communication, and response evaluation.​

  • Assisting the Strategic Sourcing Leader in conducting market research to identify potential vendors, evaluate vendor qualifications and capabilities and financial stability. ​

  • Assisting the Strategic Sourcing Leader in analyzing vendor proposals including pricing and contractual terms, negotiating contracts with vendors to optimize costs/terms and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure business needs are met.​

  • Assisting the Strategic Sourcing Leader to manage contract negotiations, work with Legal to draft and finalize contracts, and ensure terms align with organization standards.​

  • Supporting the Strategic Sourcing Leader to utilize data analytics to drive insights and provide reporting on sourcing/procurement activities, prepare reports to stakeholders on key sourcing metrics, and identify opportunities for process improvements.

You bring:  

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity. 

  • Payment/fintech knowledge (Interac products, platforms, corporate strategy)​

  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions, conduct cost-benefit analysis to evaluate vendor proposals and optimize costs.

  • Strong s​kills in conducting market research to identify potential vendors, industry trends and best practices with the ability to assess and evaluate vendor qualifications, capabilities and financial stability.

  • Capability to plan and manage the end-to-end RFP process including timelines, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Proficiency in drafting comprehensive RFP documents, specifications, and communications.​

  • Precision in reviewing and analyzing vendor proposals, contracts and other documentation, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of sourcing/procurement related documentation.​

  • Ability to think critically and analyze complex situations, identify issues and propose solutions.
