  • Configure and manage backup and recovery tools and infrastructure.

  • Ensure data integrity, availability, and security across all storage layers.

  • Collaborate with development teams to understand their storage requirements and provide guidance on best practices.

  • Monitor storage performance and capacity, identifying and resolving potential issues.

  • Implement automation for storage provisioning, management, and data protection tasks.

  • Define and enforce storage policies and standards within the platform.

  • Deep understanding of storage concepts and technologies (e.g., RAID, LVM, file systems, object storage).

  • Deep understanding of storage protocols (iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NVMe, NFS, SMB etc)

  • Strong knowledge of data protection principles, backup strategies, and recovery procedures.

  • Hands-on experience with backup and recovery tools and technologies.

  • Hands-on experience with NetApp and Pure Storage arrays

  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider's storage services (e.g., AWS EBS/S3/EFS, Azure Disks/Blob Storage/Files, GCP Persistent Disks/Cloud Storage/Filestore).

  • Experience with storage performance monitoring and capacity planning.

  • Solid understanding of data security best practices related to storage.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in storage and data protection domains.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have(s):

  • Hands on experience with RedHat OpenShift, Rancher, EKS, GKE, Tanzu, or other enterprise/Cloud Kubernetes platforms

  • Implement and manage Container Storage Interface (CSI) drivers to provision and manage persistent storage for containerized applications.

  • Proven experience implementing and managing persistent storage solutions for containerized environments using CSI.

  • Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning for data.

  • Experience with data migration strategies and tools.

  • Familiarity with data lifecycle management concepts.

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools for storage provisioning (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
