Your role as Senior Software Developer, Mobile

Reporting to Pierre-Luc Turgeon, Director of Engineering for the Member Experience team at Dialogue, your mission will be to create magical experiences for millions of Canadians using the Dialogue mobile applications and to ensure they receive the care they need. The Senior Software Developer, Mobile will be a thought leader in how we develop and architect React Native applications at Dialogue and work in a collegiate environment of passionate professionals to build a five-star member experience.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the development of new features for our mobile apps, ensuring a seamless and high-quality user experience.
• Having a big impact on the business by driving key mobile initiatives from conception to launch.
• Acting as the primary subject matter expert for mobile development, guiding the technical direction and best practices for the team.
• Steering the mobile development process by identifying opportunities to improve our architecture and implementing more efficient processes for mobile development.
• Define plans to manage and reduce technical debt and contribute to its implementation.
• Participating in and contributing to all agile ceremonies, team meetings, and broader technology department activities.
• Collaborating with the wider development community to stay current with industry trends and implement them in our context.
• Working with an application used by millions of Canadians, directly influencing and improving their health and well-being.

For this role you'll need to demonstrate

• 5+ years of experience in mobile development using React Native and Expo with an excellent understanding of mobile best practices.
• Experience in building and maintaining applications for both iOS and Android.

We'd love to hear from you if you have

• A demonstrated presence on React Native and Expo forums or contributions to the framework
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
• The ability to act as a subject matter expert and influence the direction of a product or team.
• The capacity to work independently and drive initiatives without direct mentorship.
• An interest or experience in working on back-end development is a plus.
