Team mission

The Supply Tech group enables every supplier to deliver great experiences at scale—so travelers can always discover and book the highest‑quality activities with confidence. We build the core platform and product capabilities that help supply partners grow on their terms: expanding reach, maximizing revenue, differentiating their offering, streamlining operations through powerful tools and support, and protecting a trusted marketplace through fairness and transparency.

We’re an AI-forward, platform-minded group that partners closely with Product, Design, Data, and Business teams to ship reliable systems that scale across a complex supplier ecosystem. We empower engineers with high autonomy and ownership, making pragmatic trade-offs while raising the bar on quality, integrity, and long-term market leverage.

Your mission
  • Set technical direction for Supply Tech: define target architecture, quality bars, and multi-quarter technical bets that unlock supplier growth (self-serve onboarding, optimization, and integrity/quality gates).
  • Lead cross-team execution on complex initiatives: drive alignment, sequence work across teams, and deliver measurable outcomes while managing dependencies and tradeoffs.
  • Design and evolve scalable, maintainable systems powering supplier-facing workflows (onboarding, catalog quality, and optimization loops), with strong emphasis on simplicity, resilience, and long-term leverage.
  • Raise engineering craftsmanship and operational excellence: improve reliability, observability, and incident readiness; reduce systemic tech debt; and ensure our services run safely at scale.
  • Translate business needs into technical strategy: work tightly with Product, Design, Data, and Commercial stakeholders to clarify outcomes, propose solution options, and land decisions that balance speed, correctness, and strategic flexibility.
  • Build effective “how we build” mechanisms for the group: drive reusable patterns (platform primitives, guardrails, templates), improve how teams collaborate, and create force-multiplying clarity through docs and technical RFCs.
  • Champion AI-forward product delivery where it creates real leverage (e.g., category-smart onboarding and an AI performance coach), ensuring safe deployment, clear evaluation, and responsible guardrails.
  • Mentor and grow technical leaders: coach engineers, strengthen decision-making across the org, and set a high bar for architecture, delivery, and accountability.
Your toolkit
  • 8+ years of software development experience, including ownership of complex, business-critical backend systems (Staff scope).
  • Proven strength in technical leadership: setting direction, aligning stakeholders, and driving execution across teams through influence.
  • Proficiency in Java/Spring and the ability to design and ship backend features end-to-end (from concept/RFC to production).
  • Strong background in designing and implementing scalable service-oriented / distributed architectures, with a solid understanding of design patterns and pragmatic tradeoffs.
  • Experience building and operating production microservices in distributed, cloud, and Kubernetes-based environments, with modern observability practices and a high bar for reliability.
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Postgres and MySQL (data modeling, migrations, performance, and operational maturity).
  • Experience designing and evolving APIs, including GraphQL, with a strong focus on correctness, versioning, and developer experience.
  • Ability to work effectively end-to-end (backend-leaning), including collaborating across APIs, workflows, and supplier-facing product surfaces when needed to ship outcomes.
  • A positive, proactive, team-oriented mindset, and a passion for mentoring and raising the bar on engineering craftsmanship.
  • Be excited to experiment with and leverage AI (in product delivery and your day-to-day development workflow).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Extras that give you an edge
  • Experience building backend platforms/primitives that create leverage across teams (shared services, guardrails, workflows, templates).
  • Experience with workflow-heavy B2B/partner domains (onboarding, catalog/configuration, quality gates, operational tooling).
  • Experience building and shipping AI-assisted backend capabilities (e.g., evaluation/guardrails, safe rollouts, human-in-the-loop workflows), ideally applied to onboarding/optimization use cases.
  • Experience improving products via experimentation and measurement readiness (instrumentation, baselines, iterative delivery).
  • Comfortable contributing to the frontend codebase when needed (TypeScript + Vue.js) to unblock delivery or improve end-to-end quality.
How we’ll make your career journey extraordinary
  • Annual personal growth budget and mentorship programs for continuous learning and development
  • Work from anywhere in the world for 30 days per year
  • A hybrid working approach with three days of in office collaboration (Mon, Tue, Thur) and two days of optional at home focus time.
  • Opportunities to collaborate and socialize with team members through quarterly team events and yearly company-wide events
  • Monthly transportation and fitness budget
  • Discounts for you, your friends, and family on GetYourGuide activities
  • Language reimbursement program
  • Health and wellness benefits
