Using smart technology, we take financial services that are often confusing, opaque and expensive and make them transparent and low-cost for everyone. We’re the largest fintech company in Canada, with over 4 million users who trust us with more than $50 billion in assets.

Our teams ship often and make an impact with groundbreaking ideas. We're looking for talented people who keep it simple and value collaboration and humility as we continue to create inclusive and high-performing teams where people can be inspired to do their best work.

About the team:

At Wealthsimple, design is a competitive advantage and essential to achieving our mission of helping Canadians reach financial freedom. We are client obsessed - our empathy for our clients sets the bar really high for the products and experiences we create.

We’re looking for a talented content designer to join the Invest Domain. This team focuses on managed and self-directed investing, including portfolios, managed accounts, options, margin, stocks, and more. You’ll be working closely with product designers, engineers, and marketing teams to shape the future of our investing products and deliver experiences that truly help people grow their wealth. This is a unique opportunity to empower clients with the tools and knowledge they need to make confident investing decisions.

You’ll own the quality of writing and content across managed and self-directed investing products, ensuring clarity and consistency at every step of the user journey.

Why join us?

This is more than just a content role. It’s an opportunity to shape the future of investing, helping Canadians make smarter financial decisions and build wealth with confidence. At Wealthsimple, your work will have a direct impact on millions of clients, making financial freedom more accessible for everyone.

In this role, you will:

  • Craft Clear, Impactful Content: Write and refine content for managed and self-directed investing, including portfolios, managed accounts, options, and stocks. Make complex financial topics easy to understand.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product designers, engineers, and product managers to build seamless and engaging experiences.
  • Shape the User Journey: Use data and research to understand our clients’ needs and craft content that resonates, educates, and empowers them to invest with confidence.
  • Prototype and Iterate: Work with designers to create and test multiple concepts and prototypes, balancing high-detail designs with quick, low-fidelity sketches.
  • Raise the Bar: Continuously improve the quality of our investing experiences, always looking for ways to make things simpler and better.
  • Drive Consistency: Apply systems-thinking to ensure a consistent voice and tone across all investment products and experiences.
  • Contribute to Best Practices: Help shape content guidelines that balance the complexities of investing with the simplicity and clarity Wealthsimple is known for.
  • Be a Team Player: Collaborate with other content designers, sharing feedback, insights, and ideas to grow together.
  • Use and Improve Our Products: Regularly use Wealthsimple’s investing products, identify areas for improvement, and take action to make them better.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in Consumer-Facing Apps: You’ve written for mobile and web products, ideally in investing or fintech.
  • Simplicity and Clarity: You can take complex financial concepts and make them easy to understand without losing accuracy.
  • Collaboration and Communication: You’re great at working with cross-functional teams and know how to explain your content choices clearly and persuasively.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: You use research and insights to inform your decisions and create content that resonates with users.
  • Self-Starter with Impact: You’re proactive and independent, able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for Investing: You’re excited about personal finance and investing, and you want to empower others to achieve financial freedom.
  • Strategic Thinker: You balance big-picture vision with attention to detail, always thinking about how content drives business impact.
  • Growth Mindset: You adapt to evolving priorities and are always looking for ways to grow and improve.

If you’re excited to be part of Wealthsimple’s mission, apply with your resume and a portfolio that shows:

  • How you’ve solved complex content challenges.
  • Your experience with consumer-facing products, especially in finance or investing.
  • The impact of your work on users and business goals.
  • Your approach to user-driven, data-informed content design.
