What you will be doing

The Senior Automation Architect would drive automation delivery of several current and upcoming high profile business initiatives in Core Banking and Payments Technology Line of Business. We have continued focus on several crucial QE transformation initiatives such as AI, code coverage tools, DevOps, accessibility automation, and UI/API/SSI strategies, the expectation from this individual would be help push forward all the QE transformation agenda as well as implement them in all big initiatives. The role is responsible for providing technical expertise and advice regarding a wide spectrum of existing and emerging testing practices, tools, and processes, leading complex testing projects in compliance with established controls and standards.

How you'll succeed

  • Testing expertise – Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business. Use your expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements.
  • Leadership skills – Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback, support, and mentorship. Proactively identify any potential issues throughout all test phases, and suggest possible improvements or enhancements.
  • Project coordination – Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project’s timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the business. Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure that all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to your project’s timeline, budget and goals.
  • Automation and Engineering - Lead the Automation Team in not only the maintenance of existing packages but also the evaluation, design and implementation of new automation technologies, frameworks, DevOps products and techniques; Planning and forecasting of team capacity; Single point of contact for all initiatives and provide senior level technical consulting to technology teams and senior management.

Who you are

  • You are experienced in software development testing, automation and process improvement principles. 5+ years of hands-on experience in an automation testing lead position and a proven track record of process improvement. You have in-depth knowledge and experience in automation tools and frameworks like Microfocus UFT/Selenium/ Robot/ Quantum, software development experience in Java, Python, VBScript, writing and executing  SQL queries, as well as creating and executing test scripts. You also have experience in API testing, Jenkins, CI/CD and Agile/ Scrum methodologies. It is an asset if you have prior experience in service virtualization (Parasoft Virtualize), performance testing and/ or development experience.
