What you'll be doing

As a member of CIBC’s team, you are responsible for providing support on Organization Design and Effectiveness (ODE) initiatives or work packages.  The focus of this role is to support the implementation of an enterprise-wide Job Description Inventory Solution (JDIS), partnering to create, edit, and manage review cycles for new and existing job descriptions and to migrate those job descriptions to Workday.  Support on additional ODE projects and initiatives will be provided as required.  This role works in close collaboration with members of the ODE team, HR Business Partners and other HR Centre of Expertise (COE) partners.

How you'll succeed

  • Consolidate & Draft - Work closely with the Director, ODE to review and consolidate job descriptions, drafting and editing to create a final copy that is grammatically correct and factual.

  • Collaborate – Coordinate and participate in meetings with stakeholders to clarify job description requirements and translate from working sessions to sufficient project requirements and discussions with ODE team.  Use collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Workplace, and others as needed to provide an effective flow of information.

  • Validate & Document - Complete routine data validation of job information for executive and non-executive records to maintain data integrity with HR Information System (Workday).  Maintain organized records of data sources, report drafts, and final versions.

  • Create & Enhance- Develop presentation materials, reports and updates to support JDIS project and additional work across ODE and support the development and/or enhancement of ODE tools, templates, and processes to enable continuous improvment.

  • You’re proficient with technologyYou’re comfortable using MS Office, Access and SharePoint.  It’s an asset if you have experience using Workday.
