Job Description
This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable software and data solutions that enable commercial banking and treasury management capabilities.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, APIs, microservices, integrations, and reporting solutions that improve data accessibility, quality, and performance.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, data analysts, and platform teams to translate business needs into reliable technical solutions.
  • Develop secure, maintainable, and high-quality code following enterprise engineering standards, coding best practices, and software design principles.
  • Drive troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, production support, performance tuning, and resiliency improvements across applications and data platforms.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, code reviews, test strategy development, and Agile delivery planning.
  • Support technology modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, automation, DevOps enablement, vulnerability remediation, and platform optimization.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve system performance, operational efficiency, data reliability, developer productivity, and client outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to six years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Python, SQL, JavaScript, or other modern programming languages used for enterprise application and data development.
  • Experience developing APIs, microservices, data pipelines, integrations, distributed applications, and reporting solutions in large-scale environments.
  • Expertise with relational databases, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data transformation, and data quality management.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git/version control, automated testing, code reviews, and DevOps engineering practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization technologies, monitoring tools, automation frameworks, and platform observability solutions.
  • Understanding of secure software development, access controls, vulnerability management, resiliency patterns, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with commercial banking, treasury management, payments, receivables, transaction processing, reporting, or entitlement data domains.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership mindset, with a focus on quality, continuous improvement, delivery excellence, and business impact.

Location expectations 
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $111,605.00 - $131,300.00
