Position Summary:

Trend Micro Vision One is a purpose-built threat defense platform that provides added value and new benefits beyond XDR (Extended Detection and Response) solutions, allowing customer to see more and respond faster. Vision One providing deep and broad extended detection and response capabilities that collect and automatically correlate data across multiple security layers—email, endpoints, servers, cloud workloads, and networks—Trend Micro Vision One prevents the majority of attacks with automated protection.

Vision One Reporting Service is a SaaS solution that empowers customers to generate reports based on all security data within their environment. The service collects valuable data and extracts insights for customers through manual or scheduled reports. It also includes a public API that allows third-party integrations with Vision One. The candidates will primarily work on this project focusing on quality assurance using techniques such as Docker, Kubernetes, cloud data lakes, and more.

Key Features:

  • Data Ingestion and Correlation: Essential report data is ingested and correlated into a data lake.

  • Template Creation: Users can create pre-defined templates as well as custom templates for their reporting needs.

  • Multiple Report Formats: Supports various report formats, including CSV, JSON, images, and PDF.

  • High Availability and Auto-Scaling: The service supports high availability and automatically scales according to workload demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate testing strategies and execute detailed test cases.

  • Lead the automation of test cases for Web UI and backend APIs.

  • Direct the process of defect identification, tracking, and issue management.

  • Manage system monitoring, performance, log, and metrics analysis.

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, UX engineers, software architects and developers to devise effective testing strategies.

  • Address customer issues promptly to support critical business operations.

  • Develop and maintain the automation of CI/CD processes for services and solutions.

  • Work with product development and support teams across multiple countries to ensure global coordination.

  • Conduct compliance testing, such as vulnerability testing for PCI compliance requirements.

  • Play a key role in the software product development cycle, participating in development activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Python programming skills for developing automated test scripts independently.

  • Experience in testing Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and serverless applications.

  • Proficiency in RDBMS, NoSQL, Data Lakes, and other cloud technologies in environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes, tools, and services, including Jenkins and Docker.

  • Understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) in DevOps contexts.

  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.

  • Self-motivated with an agile mentality to adapt to changing requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

For applicants in the province of Ontario: Trend Micro Canada is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary for this role is CAD $105,000.00 - $130,000.00. A candidate’s final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors to include, but not limited to relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
