Job Description

Fisher Scientific is building a bridge between business and science as the industry's definitive single source for a comprehensive range of laboratory equipment, chemicals, instruments, life sciences reagents, and consumable supplies. This also includes safety-related products like cleanroom and controlled-environment supplies; personal protective equipment (PPE); firefighting, military, and first responder equipment and supplies; and environmental monitoring and sampling equipment.
Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior Sales Manager, where you'll guide and support a successful sales team to drive strategic growth and customer success. You'll be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies while ensuring exceptional customer relationships and market development.
In this role, you'll guide strategic direction, manage a team of sales representatives, develop customer relationships, and drive revenue growth through effective account management. You'll analyze market trends, implement effective strategies, and ensure your team maintains a strong pipeline of opportunities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to create meaningful impact while applying your sales leadership expertise and industry knowledge.
REQUIREMENTS:
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Science, advanced degree is an asset
• 10 years of industry specific experience, preferably in the research laboratory industry or equivalent
• Additional certifications in sales management or leadership a plus
• 3+ years of proven sales management and team leadership experience
• Strong understanding of CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.com
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic sales plans
• Professional selling and presentation skills with excellent business acumen
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with proven experience in coaching and developing sales talent
• Experience in P&L management and forecasting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business intelligence tools
• Ability to travel 20-30%

• Fluency in English required; additional language skills may be beneficial

Compensation

The salary range estimated for this position based in Canada is $128,200.00–$178,200.00.
