Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.

About the team and the role:

eBay’s Memory initiative focuses on making eBay a personalized shopping destination that shopping agents cannot easily bypass. We build durable, user-centered memory across multiple layers. These include machine learning, back-end infrastructure, and front-end experiences. Our aim is to offer shopping journeys that are highly relevant both personally and contextually. This applies from product discovery through conversion and after purchase.

We’re seeking a seasoned, consumer-focused Senior Product Manager who thrives at the intersection of experience development and ML/back-end systems. You are proficient in ML/AI but you love and excel at delivering delightful consumer-facing experiences. You will collaborate with creative and technical partners across building, content, analytics, and engineering to define and deliver end-to-end memory-powered experiences that set eBay apart. If you excel at cultivating relationships, navigating complex collaborator networks, and driving outstanding progress across multiple concurrent projects, this role is for you.

What you will accomplish:

  • Champion the Memory product vision, strategy, and roadmap to deliver deeply personalized recommendations experiences that resist agent disintermediation.

  • Develop a deep understanding of our user segments and JTBD to develop a consistent and coherent narrative of their experience across various surfaces and products.

  • Build and validate that understanding that drives user retention and happiness, GMV, and ads revenue. Translate memory signals into user-facing surfaces in collaboration with development and content — home, search, browse, recommendations, notifications, agentic — with clear user value and measurable outcomes.

  • Define extraordinary success metrics and experimentation strategy (A/B tests, offline metrics, guardrails); drive continuous improvement across relevance, engagement, and GMV.

  • Lead cross-functional planning and implementation across build, content, analytics, science, and engineering; coordinate collaborators, lead dependencies, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

  • Write crisp PRDs and decision docs; maintain backlogs; run agile rituals; systematically unblock teams and handle risk.

  • Champion privacy, safety, and responsible personalization (data governance, opt-ins, regional requirements) while improving user value.

  • Communicate progress, insights, and tradeoffs clearly to executives and partners; foster positive relationships across the organization.

  • Run multiple projects simultaneously, balancing near-term wins with foundational long-term investments.

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years of Product Management (or equivalent) building consumer or platform products at scale, with a strong record of end-to-end delivery.

  • Strong execution and delivery: shipped multi-quarter initiatives, led complex collaborator relationships, and hit achievements consistently.

  • Excellent program leadership: planning, prioritization, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration across build/content/analytics/engineering.

  • User-centric approach and experience build proficiency; adept at iterating with design partners toward measurable outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly across domains (experience, analytics and data science, ML/personalization, etc) and translate technical concepts into customer value.

  • Hands-on experience with personalization or features powered by machine learning (signals, feature stores, data pipelines, experimentation, evaluation metrics).

  • Familiarity with back-end/platform systems and APIs; comfortable working closely with engineering and analytics partners.
