About the team and the role:

As a Product Manager on eBay’s Item Page team within Buyer Experience, you will lead and improve a crucial part of the buyer journey—the point where intent becomes action. You will define customer needs and value, business impact, product strategy, user experience development, experimentation, and iteration of core Item page features that affect conversion, buyer trust, and long-term engagement. This role lies at the crossroads of buyer decision-making, seller value, and platform capabilities, working closely with engineering, product creation, research, analytics, and cross-functional teams.

We’re looking for someone who is customer-focused, analytical, and collaborative. They should be comfortable operating in ambiguity. This person can balance building shared vision, roadmap, and strong execution to continuously improve one of the most heavily trafficked product experiences on eBay.

What you will accomplish:

  • Product Discovery: Develop deep understanding of the problem space, identify customer jobs-to-be-done, prioritize customer needs, and connect product direction to broader company strategy.

  • Deliver Against Team Objectives & Key Results: Supervise progress in relation to customer and business goals, proactively spot potential risks and obstacles, and share updates, compromises, and suggestions with leadership and collaborators from various departments.

  • Lead Sophisticated Cross-Functional Initiatives: Collaborate closely with Engineering, Development, Research, Analytics, User Research, Marketing, and Business teams to align on product direction, influence prioritization, and drive progress across multiple teams and partners.

  • Drive Alignment Through Ambiguity: Navigate highly ambiguous problem spaces, bring structure and clarity to teams, and influence decision-making through strong product judgment and data-driven thinking.

  • Experimentation: Lead A/B testing to validate hypotheses and implement solutions to enhance conversion and user engagement. Use experimental data to iteratively improve product performance and achieve key business goals.

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management or an equivalent field, demonstrating a proven history of launching and scaling complex customer-focused products that drive significant business results.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a similar area.

  • Strong critical thinking and product intuition, with the ability to connect customer problems to long-term business opportunities.

  • Experience translating ambiguous business opportunities into a clear strategy, prioritized roadmap, and executable product plan.

  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial approach, with the ability to operate effectively in highly ambiguous environments and move quickly from idea to execution.

  • Strong skill in examining and drawing conclusions from multiple quantitative and qualitative data sources.

  • Diligent, with demonstrated experience writing clear product requirements, user stories, and success metrics.

  • Experience collaborating closely with Design, Research, Engineering, Analytics, and Business teams to deliver high-quality customer experiences.
