Role Overview


As the Senior Marketing Analyst for Burner, you'll leverage data insights to shape our customer acquisition and retention strategies. You'll build reports and dashboards by analyzing and interpreting data from various sources to assess campaign effectiveness, ROAS, customer behavior, and market trends. Collaborating with product and analytics engineering, you'll deliver actionable insights to drive marketing success. You'll manage the subscription app martech stack, including Adjust MMP, Firebase, and Google Analytics, and do data modeling for ROAS, payback, and lift/incrementality measurement. A firm grasp of attribution models, mobile advertising identifiers, and the SKAN framework is essential. We're seeking someone passionate about marketing data analysis with a proven track record of driving results. This is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the VP of Marketing.


For this role, we're seeking candidates available within Pacific Time (PT) ± 3 hours, including MT, CT, and ET.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer acquisition, retention/engagement, and market trend data to provide valuable, data-centric insights and reporting solutions.
  • Create dashboards and ad hoc reports to deliver actionable insights and inform business decisions, focusing on automation and scalability.
  • Own the implementation of the martech stack, including Adjust MMP, Firebase, Tableau, and Google Analytics.
  • Own marketing event funnel to enable campaign optimization and attribution, including Adjust events, Firebase events, and SKAN conversion schema
  • Translate business requirements into engineering requirements and coordinate with Data Engineering to build solutions.
  • Collaborate with product and analytics teams to ensure accurate marketing data, current SDKs, and optimized martech stack.
  • Contribute to campaign development, from forecasting to defining metrics
  • Apply statistical modeling techniques using SQL, Python, or R to identify effective growth strategies
  • Develop insights to drive optimizations across all channels
  • Provide actionable insights to guide strategic direction and day-to-day decisions
  • Develop models for ROAS, payback, lift/ incrementality measurement, and other KPI calculations

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in marketing analytics, with a concentration on mobile subscription apps
  • Experience with Mobile Measurement Partners (MMP) — Adjust highly preferred
  • Knowledge of Mobile Advertising Identifiers
  • Experience with key marketing analytics platforms, including Firebase and Google Analytics
  • Understanding of the SKAN framework (SKAdNetwork)
  • Understanding of attribution models and key marketing effectiveness metrics
  • Experience working closely with marketing teams (customer acquisition, CRM, and brand)
  • Effective communication skills to present information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Deep knowledge and practical experience with SQL
  • Experience using scripting languages (R/Python) to automate processes
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining reports in Tableau or other data visualization tools
