As a member of the Supply Chain Excellence organization, this role is accountable for designing and implementing the enterprise strategy for J&J Operating System (JJOS) training, capability development, and certifications across Johnson & Johnson. This role owns the development of a scalable, role‑based training roadmap spanning JJOS methodology, Lean, Six Sigma, Asset Management, and related capabilities, ensuring alignment with Innovative Medicine, MedTech, and enterprise priorities. The Senior Manager builds and sustains a robust Train‑the‑Trainer model to enable consistent, cost‑efficient delivery and long‑term program sustainability. Working closely with site, functional, and enterprise partners, this role links capability development to measurable business and value outcomes, providing leadership‑ready insights that support operational excellence, talent development, and continuous improvement across the global supply chain. This role partners closely with the Training & Execution team to ensure programs are delivered effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Training Strategy & Roadmap
a) Define and implement the enterprise strategy for J&J Operating System (JJOS) training programs and certifications (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Asset Management, etc)
b) Develop and maintain a multi‑year training program roadmap aligned to Innovative Medicine, MedTech, and Enterprise Function’s priorities
c) Develop and deploy a communications plan aligned with the training program strategy to promote programs and celebrate successes
d) Ensure training offerings are role‑based, scalable, and aligned to operating model maturity and site needs
e) Continuously grow the training strategy based on performance insights, business demand, capability gaps, and external benchmarking
Program Design, Delivery & Sustainability
a) Design standardized, high‑quality training curricula and learning pathways across JJOS capabilities
b) Ensure consistent, effective execution of training programs across sites and functions
c) Embed sustainability mechanisms and feedback mechanisms to maintain content relevance, quality, and adoption over time
d) Establish clear certification criteria, proficiency levels, and recertification requirements
e) Balance rigor and practicality to drive applied learning and operational impact
f) Integrate training programs into broader talent development and capability‑building strategies
g) Support content development activities of other team members, as required
Train‑the‑Trainer & Talent Development
a) Design and implement a Train‑the‑Trainer program to build internal instructional capability across the Enterprise
b) Enable associates to serve as certified trainers, coaches, and capability leaders
c) Cultivate a community of practice to sustain knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
Value Realization & Performance Management
a) Define and implement value realization methodologies for JJOS training programs
b) Establish clear links between training, uplifting capability and business outcomes (e.g., efficiency, cost, reliability)
c) Partner with Finance and SCE Strategy & Business Excellence to validate assumptions and track realized benefits
d) Communicate value through leadership‑ready insights, dashboards, and narratives
Cost Efficiency, Governance & Partnerships
a) Ensure training programs are delivered in a cost‑efficient and scalable manner
b) Establish governance to maintain standards, prioritize investments, and manage demand
c) Partner with site, functional, and enterprise customers to align needs, expectations, and execution
d) Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on capability priorities and investment decisions
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science or equivalent university degree required.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience across multiple functions of Supply Chain.
- Demonstrated experience working in global, matrixed environments and interfacing with diverse stakeholders, including senior executives.
- Program and project management experience, including leading strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Strong ability to design and implement enterprise‑level capability and training strategies
- Experience building roadmaps and operating models that scale across sites and functions
- Digital Mindset: Demonstrates a digital‑first approach by employing AI, analytics, and enterprise digital tools to enable scalable solutions and drive measurable business impact.
- Ability to connect training, performance, and value outcomes
- Experience translating CI methodologies into practical, role‑based learning experiences
- Understanding of site and functional operating realities in complex, global environments
- Strong knowledge of coaching, facilitation, and adult‑learning
- Ability to enable others to teach, coach, and lead capability deployment
- Experience defining, tracking, and communicating program value and benefits
- Ability to link capability development to measurable operational and financial outcomes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize insights for senior leadership
- Executive‑ready communication and storytelling capabilities
- Ability to drive alignment and adoption without direct authority
- Proficiency with learning platforms, portfolio/reporting tools, and enterprise analytics
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Co-Pilot: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience engaging with external vendors to develop and deliver training programs
- Experience creating and managing team budgets
Preferred:
- Skills with data visualization tools such as PowerBI
- Lean, Six Sigma, or similar certification
Other:
- Proficiency with English language required
- 10% international and domestic US travel
