What you'll be doing

As the Senior Manager, Business Analytics, you are an expert responsible for providing advice and consultation to Wealth Management businesses on matters of a regulatory and/or operational nature. This role involves leading and supporting projects of moderate to high complexity, utilizing your analytical and investigative skills to solve and remediate deficiencies, build and support controls and improve existing processes.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Business Effectiveness and Optimization, you will provide support with executive escalations and stretch assignments and projects. Building reporting and analytics to support business processes and controls, protect through disciplined regulatory sustainment and remediation, and transform via process optimization and modernized AI‑ready procedures. You will also conduct investigations and work with branch management on loss management matters, regulatory reporting, controls, and deficiency remediation.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $92,490 to $127,200.
The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.
In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.

How you'll succeed

  • Supervisory and Oversight - Provide support for the monthly and quarterly reporting to Executives. Provide direction to Wood Gundy branches on questions and escalations of a regulatory nature. Help create a positive work environment and being an effective role model by championing CIBC’s mission, vision and values.

  • Regulatory Affairs - Ensure all regulatory inquiries are responded to in an accurate and timely manner. Develop and maintain strong relationships with the various compliance and governance groups. Assist in the development of new policies and procedures. Identify areas of exposure requiring action or changes in regulations and work with management to implement recommendations. Complete special projects as may be assigned from time to time.

  • Business Analytics and Support - Investigate and respond to business inquiries. Support Process Optimization and Procedure Modernization. Lead or support deficiency Management and Administration, apply substantial communication and problem-solving skills, overall accountability for ensuring the design and operational effectiveness of the controls testing program aligns with business requirements. Developing work plans and establishing objectives to ensure the completeness and accuracy of remediation efforts.
