The successful candidate will be reporting directly into the VP, Corporate Strategy and will be responsible for independently driving the entire lifecycle from issue identification to strategy formulation.  The Senior Manager will be working with cross-functional teams and senior leaders in the organization, and expected to possess strong consulting fundamentals, relationship building skills, the ability to adapt to dynamic situations, and a strong intellectual curiosity to understand and deepen his/her learnings in new disciplines.  

What to expect 

  • Be a “hands on” and “creative” leader in the corporate strategy team
  • Act as an “in-house management consultant” – apply strategic thinking to solve complex Corporate Strategy problems
  • Be constantly challenged by varying challenges that each require unique problem-solving methods and frameworks
  • Support deliverables that will shape decision-making by the executive team and Board
  • Engage with a wide spectrum of functional executives across the organization
  • Independently drive analysis to arrive at options and recommendations using a hypothesis and data driven approach
  • Drive innovation agenda working with a cross-functional team
  • Support the research & development of POV on emerging / new to company ideas
  • Support the leadership team with development of presentation decks that communicate information and ideas effectively and simply
  • Do all this within a supportive environment led by empathetic leaders who encourage pursuit of your passions and learnings
  • Work-life balance and flexibility with no overnight travel- 3 days a week in office is required.

What you bring 

  • 8+ years of strategy development experience gained at a top-tier management consulting firm
  • P&C insurance industry experience is desired but not necessary
  • Deep experience in core strategy development (i.e., evaluating new business opportunities, developing go-to-market strategies, business model assessments)
  • Experience building business cases to support strategy execution
  • Strong business acumen, with aptitude for strategic, analytical and critical thinking
  • Ability to partner with senior leaders to drive engagement and support decision making
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving high quality output
  • Ability to do research & develop POVs on emerging / new to company ideas
  • Exceptional written presentation skills, with the ability to prepare informative and impactful presentation decks to express complex ideas graphically
  • Acute attention to detail and strong commitment to producing excellent work products
  • Openness to take feedback and improve, perform under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple, and sometimes conflicting priorities
  • Exposure/experience leveraging AI tools to enhance research, analysis, or productivity
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel is required

Salary Range: $106,500 - $156,500
