Primary Function:
Zoro is seeking a Senior Manager of Analytics to join our analytics team with the mission to transform  Zoro’s customer interaction data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in managing an analytics function at a sizable ecommerce organization.  This position will be responsible for developing and managing a team of digital analytics professionals and creating an analytical roadmap to continue Zoro’s pursuit of a best in class analytics organization.  The Sr Manager is the platform owner for Google Analytics, so a detailed understanding of the data flow from a data layer to a tag management system to a digital analytics tool is critical for success in this role. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of digital analysts and analytics managers in data collection and analysis best practices. 
  • Become the Zoro subject matter expert in digital analytics.  Stay abreast of new trends in customer privacy and continually develop new programs and solutions to continually advance our capabilities.
  • Manage relationships with internal business partners and external vendors, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Work with database tools or scripting languages to process, report on, and draw business and marketing insights from a variety of datasets. 
  • Develop and perform quality checks on data for both ad hoc and ongoing processes.  Monitor and maintain these automated processes.
  • Proactively investigate traffic, conversion, and performance trends using customer transaction and digital analytics data, creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and presentations explaining findings and recommendations.
  • Manage and consult on website tag implementations, partnering with business teams, developers and analytics engineers to oversee the end to end data process, including requirements gathering, tag implementation, and tag QA. 
  • Research best practices in data analysis, reporting, data visualization, and statistical analysis; incorporate them into everyday work, and share with the wider business teams.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, analytics, economics, or similar and 5+ years of work experience.
  • At least 2 years experience managing a team of developers and/or analysts.
  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and data management and analytic methods.
  • Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas.
  • Expertise in Google Analytics (or Adobe Analytics), SQL (Python preferred), and creating automated reporting solutions.
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products.

Compensation:

Below is the anticipated base pay compensation range for this position. This position is eligible for participation in our short-term incentive program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.

The range provided is not a guarantee of compensation. The range reflects the potential base pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual base pay compensation will depend, in part, on factors such as geographic work location and relevant experience and skills. 

The anticipated compensation range described below is subject to change and the compensation ultimately paid may be higher or lower than the range described above.
