The Position:
You will be responsible for providing support on corporate and commercial matters.
The position requires an articulate, self-motivated individual who possesses strong organization skills, attention to detail, and is comfortable working on transactions in various jurisdictions. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.
Job Duties
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and facilitating a variety of contracts, including software license, maintenance and support services, consulting agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Reviewing documents for and monitoring acceptability and compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Managing legal review intake and performing triage.
- Assisting in policy development and training as required.
- Research across international jurisdictions and recommend best practices.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with lawyers across Lumine Group.
- Providing legal advice, where appropriate, to relevant stakeholders.
- Other duties shall be assigned as required.

Requirements:
- Must be an active member of the Law Society of Ontario.
- 4-8 year call to the bar.
- Experience in a telecommunication and/or software business environment considered an asset.
- Excellent writing skills for complex documentation and attention to detail.
- Superior time management skills, multi-tasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
- High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and diplomacy.
- Resourceful and flexible.
- Creative problem solver.
- Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude are critical.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
