Job Description

The LEGO® Group is currently looking for a Sr. Key Account Manager to join our office in Canada! In this role you help us lead the building of our channel strategy while running and developing some of our key accounts.

Core Responsibilities

Business Leadership: Apply Agile methodology to operate as the general manager & product owner of the Amazon CAN business, in orchestrating a cross-functional team.

  • Strategic Orientation: Internalize the LEGO Group’s and our customer’s strategy to develop differentiated joint business plans which deliver upon our shared objectives, while capitalizing on the customer’s unique value proposition and shopper base.

  • Cross-Market Collaboration: Act as a strategic visionary in taking a digital-first and comprehensive market perspective into decision-making forums.

  • Commercial Integration: Innovate upon our go-to-market principles to deliver a highly integrated and high-reaching commercial & promotional plan which encompasses all facets of the business, ranging from retail and storefront execution to platform marketing and eCommerce operations.

Results Orientation: Accountable for delivering on key objectives to drive sustainable commercial growth.

  • P&L Ownership: Be fully responsible for the management of the customer P&L across functional areas with a keen focus on both the LEGO Group’s and the customer’s economics to drive profitable growth and improved productivity.

  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Drive strong scorecard performance against key traffic, conversion, and retail critical metric targets through an analytical approach and a deep understanding of both the key paid & organic business drivers.

  • Planning & Operations: Liaise with partners in operations to lead the joint forecast and drive an operational innovation agenda with a focus on the use of digital tools to drive greater standardization & automation.

Relationship Elevation: Deliver on our customer value proposition to improve customer pulse through building a trusted & productive relationship as the primary lead call point.

  • Effective Negotiation & Selling: Leverage a data-driven approach to collaborate and guide toward mutually valuable trade agreements.

  • Drive Shared Innovation Agenda: Apply insights to develop a test & learn agenda for future growth opportunities which deliver on enhancing brand protection efforts while elevating our brand.

  • Capitalize on Licensing Partnerships: Work in close concert with key inbound & outbound licensing partners to improve online business opportunities and reach more shoppers.

Do your part in our team succeeding

The B2B eCommerce Center of Excellence is accountable for the execution of all digital/ecommerce-related activities within the region. This team plays a critical role in building up commercial capabilities. Together with a global function reporting to our Chief Digital Officer, this team will design, run and optimize the entire shopper funnel to support the marketing strategy defined with our regional marketing team to drive commercial results. Our global Product and Marketing Development team will support with eCommerce-focused audience and passion point campaign assets as well as assortment and packaging development and innovation.

Our future growth plans are dependent on our ability to lift our eCommerce and omnichannel strategy through strong execution with our B2B customers. The team's purpose and mission is to develop and implement a coherent digital shopper approach that uses the strengths of the LEGO brand and our unique operating model. This team stimulates the larger regional commercial organization by innovating our digital shopper strategy and ecommerce execution.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Proven ability to handle customer-facing key accounts in consumer packaged goods, with a significant amount of time spent in eCommerce

  • Track record of versatility, flexibility and an ability to use focus behaviour to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively interpret digital trends and think criticality to challenge the status quo

  • High-level of integrity and passion with a presence that fits a fast-paced, energetic and collaborative organization

  • Domestic and global travel required with flexible scheduling – 10%

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerBI and/or Tableau

  • Thorough understanding of Amazon’s platforms: Vendor Central, AMS, Brand Registry

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with high attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to gain team followership in motivating change

  • A natural curiosity with a continuous improvement mentality
