Sr. Financial Analyst - Logistics

As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will support the Director & VP of Supply Chain Finance in the development and implementation of the logistics annual budget, monthly forecasts, strategic plan. You will lead all analysis & reporting of monthly operating results. You will work closely with department managers to analyze monthly results to improve future projections. In addition, you will provide analytical support to business partners to help drive the company’s operating performance. You will support global reporting for the Supply Chain organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Logistics organization with monthly forecast, reporting, and analysis, the annual operating plan, and the strategic plan processes. Provide variance analysis and determine cause of change.
  • Provide meaningful, accurate, insightful, and timely management reporting in an understandable format. Partner with 3rd Party freight audit company & internal logistics organization with improving value creation. Help the logistics operations team identify and develop key business opportunities and drive efficiency.
  • Assist in driving enhancements in financial reporting and analysis, policies/procedures, and documentation, as well as systems transitions/requirements. Dive deep into available data to make informed recommendations.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support and perform special projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • 3-5 years experience working in Finance or as a Business Analyst in a related field.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet/modeling software; PowerBI platform.
  • Expertise supporting logistics organization a plus
  • Experience working with SAP or other financial/statistical software, as well as financial databases
  • Strong problem-solving skills and disciplined approach to work with attention to detail. Ability to learn quickly when facing new tasks/objectives and can change quickly in a dynamic environment. Proven ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience presenting financial data and detailed reports to management level.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to control confidential and/or sensitive financial information.
  • Ability to indirectly lead supply chain leaders on financial results through good verbal and written communication. Able to be analytical while being able to understand and convey overall strategy.
  • Able to create partnerships with various organizations and individuals at different levels (VP, Director, Manager, Analyst).
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of curiosity about opportunities within the business and then exhibit the ownership needed to drive outcomes.
