Title: Senior ETL Developer

This role will require 3 days per week at the local Mississauga office or a client site located in the Greater Toronto Area. Preferred hiring locations for this role are Toronto and Mississauga.

Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, low-latency data pipelines to ingest and transform diverse datasets leveraging Cloud Data Platforms.
- Design and optimize Data Lake architectures and creating, efficient, reliable, and governed data storage.
- Partner closely with data scientists and business analysts to deliver clean, validated, and well-modeled datasets that support advanced analytics and AI initiatives.
- Led quantitative data analysis using SQL in databases and providing report summary with data visualization tools as Tableau
- Implement best practices including automated deployments, version control with Git, and infrastructure-as-code for robust, repeatable data engineering workflows.
- Collaborate with Power BI teams to develop performant and scalable reporting solutions by developing multiple SSIS jobs in Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Data Modeling in various data architectures and creating ETLs for transporting data.
- This role is in our Local ATCs and will require on-site work 2-3 days per week.
What you need:
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a related role
- 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud data services (AWS & GCP may also be considered)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SSIS
- Power BI integration for actionable analytics using SQL
- Advanced SQL for data transformation and pipeline development
- Experience Reporting Platform with Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving and performance optimization skills
- Bachelor’s degree or completion of a college program in a related discipline
Bonus points if you have experience with:
- ETL development, data transformation, and orchestration tools
- Spark job and cluster performance tuning for cost and scalability optimization
- Oracle PI/SQL developer experience
- Jenkins (CI/CD)
- Microsoft Certifications: Azure Data Engineer Associate
