We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Sr. Equipment Specialist – Millwright in Whitby, ON (On-site).
Responsibilities:
- Repair, rebuild, and refurbish machinery and equipment using milling machines, lathes, and machine shop hand tools.
- Perform general maintenance on production equipment including Fluid Bed Dryers, Film Coaters, Tablet Presses, Transfer Pumps, Vacuum Systems, Processing Vessels, and auxiliary equipment.
- Maintain production equipment, auxiliary equipment, and building maintenance, including operator training on equipment setup and operation.
- Coordinate with Group Leaders and Production Supervisors to schedule equipment downtime within preventative maintenance program timeframes.
- Schedule equipment availability to complete preventative maintenance on time and maintain accurate GMP-compliant records.
- Participate in Operational meetings, Rapids, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and other required activities.
- Document applicable work activities within a CMMS program.
- Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards.
- Perform alternating or rotating shift work, including maintenance shutdown requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial mechanic or equivalent maintenance experience, preferably in the food, cosmetic, or pharmaceutical industries.
- 1–3 years of millwright experience preferred.
- College certificate or degree in Industrial Millwright preferred.
- Certified Ontario Tradesperson with a valid Industrial Millwright license.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
- Experience with Maximo CMMS program preferred.
- Comfortable working rotational shifts.
Note: Salary ranges from $27 CAD to $40 CAD per hour, depending on experience.
