ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking a proven leader to join our firm as the Senior Director, Operations - Corporate Actions. This role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of Corporate Actions processes, including Voluntary, Mandatory, and Income events, while providing subject matter expertise in depository processing (e.g., DTCC, Euroclear). The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge with a passion for team building, collaboration, and driving operational success within a fast-paced and highly regulated environment. 

This role offers a unique opportunity to spearhead a critical function of the organization, combining operational expertise with team development and leadership. Duties/Responsibilities

  • Team leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a diverse, high-performing team; foster collaboration, inclusivity, accountability, and continuous learning.

  • Event management: Oversee accurate, timely processing of voluntary (tenders, rights), mandatory (mergers, splits, spin-offs), and income (dividends, interest) events; ensure reconciliation and entitlement reporting.

  • Depository and custodian processing: Act as SME for DTCC, Euroclear, and global clearing systems; strengthen relationships with custodians, depositories, and service providers.

  • Process optimization: Improve workflows, implement automation, and adopt new technology to reduce manual effort, errors, and risk; drive scalability aligned to organizational goals.

  • Compliance and risk: Establish robust controls, ensure regulatory/industry compliance, monitor market developments, and enforce effective governance.

  • Stakeholder engagement: Represent Corporate Actions with clients, internal leaders, and external partners; communicate updates, solutions, and risks clearly and credibly.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience) required

  • 12+ years in corporate actions, event management, and depository processing, with global clearing experience.

  • FINRA Series 7 and 24 License(s) required (or willingness to obtain)

  • Proven track record building and leading cohesive, high-performing teams.

  • Professional certifications (e.g., ISCD) preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Deep expertise across voluntary, mandatory, and income events; advanced knowledge of DTCC, Euroclear, settlement, and clearing practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; adept at interpreting complex announcements and balancing efficiency with risk mitigation.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to translate complex processes for diverse audiences and build trusted relationships.

  • Proficiency with corporate action platforms, data management tools, and automation solutions; familiarity with global market practices in clearing and settlement.

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a hybrid, office environment 3 days per week.

Salary Range

$148,000-$185,000

The annual base salary range for this position is noted above. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location.
