What you’ll be doing
As the Sr. Consultant, Product Owner you will work with partners to define solutions, business requirements, cost and benefit inputs into business case , recommendations on delivery methods, and processes impacting Omni Channel. You will be responsible for participating in partner meetings for business requirement sessions, early engagement and scoping of initiatives, leading and overseeing multiple initiatives/projects. You will manage stakeholders and business partners supporing decisions on feasibility of initiatives, scope and delivery recommendations.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you’ll succeed
Conducting Process Assessments - Perform ongoing process reviews to identify issues early on and recommend solutions to business challenges. Stay on top of best practices and industry knowledge to identify process improvements that will create a best-in-class client experience. Assess risk impact on an ongoing basis and provide recommendation on how to mitigate them while supporting all governance processes and controls including but not limited to key controls and audits.
Collaboration – Work with internal partners in the development of programs, products, or services by assessing the impact, effectiveness and feasibility of proposed changes (review options and proposals, often developed by others). Make recommendations regarding feasibility and implementation of changes. Work with your team and partners toward a common goal and negotiate deliverables and milestones whenever necessary. Build ongoing partnerships with key clients and business partners.
Relationship Management - Provide high impact thought leadership. Build strong ongoing partnerships with key stakeholders. Collaborate and develop informed decisions & plans to ensure alignment of project deliverables and processes.
Project Delivery - Lead and manage often large and complex projects, ensuring the project deliverables meet expectations. Prepare project plans to manage the timely delivery of Business Requirements, Use Cases, Training and other business project deliverables. Lead the identification and documentation of business requirements, functional and non-functional specifications and use cases. Manage changes to scope and potential project impacts.
Project Leadership – Work with Sponsors / leads, Business and technology partners and project team members, to initiate and manage initiatives. Support project management activities from business case to project closure, adhering to project management standards.
