What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems Management or equivalent experience with PostgreSQL Database.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Postgres SQL DBA. Experience with PostgreSQL security (creating users, granting/revoking access, LDAP integration, etc.) and working with community version PostgreSQL version 13 (or higher).
• 5+ years of experience with another database platform such as DB2 and SQL Server. 
• 5+ years of experience with streaming and logical replication, HA, Backup and Recovery and Maintenance utilities including setup, configuration and monitoring.
• Experience investigating/troubleshooting PostgreSQL performance issues with native Postgres catalog and statistics.
• Solid knowledge of psql language.
• Strong knowledge of shell scripting language(s).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Exposure to GCP / Google Cloud. 
• Experience with Linux admin, storage admin, network admin.
• Experience with cluster management tools supporting HA PostgreSQL clusters (Patroni, etc.).
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible/Git.

Impact You'll Make:

TransUnion Canada is seeking a Sr. Consultant, Database Administration and Storage, reporting to our Sr. Manager of Enterprise Monitoring and Automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in our PostgreSQL operations team.
• Provide on-call support for critical applications.
• Support a growing environment and migrating to PostgreSQL and GCP Google cloud.
• Engage in special projects to solve key challenges facing the department.
   

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
