What You'll Be Doing
The Senior Consultant, Project Management is a key member of the Chief Security Office (CSO) Shared Services team. The Senior Consultant will support the strategic planning, day to day management, and governance of projects across the CSO and the TI&I organization. You will work with the CSO organization to support business partners and stakeholders to Provide end-to-end support in the delivery of highly complex projects including planning, execution, closing, financial and benefits management. This also includes providing expert level knowledge of CIBC’s Project, Program & Portfolio Management (PPPM) Policy & Standards, Enterprise Delivery Framework (EDF), Business Case Management and Benefits Management. Produce progress and executive reports on project performance and dashboards for Senior Leadership and Steering Committees to ensure the portfolio is well monitored and controlled. Provide Change Management & Reapprovals support in alignment with CIBC policies to the requisite governing and investment bodies. You will drive awareness based on Industry, Regulatory and CIBC Policies and guidelines to manage risk including those associated with potential delays and deferrals.

How You'll Succeed
- Project/Program Management: Provide expertise on project, program and portfolio management at CIBC. Proactively identify risks to the project schedule and find ways to mitigate them. Monitor milestones and ensure they’re completed according to timelines and budgets. Execute a project plan that strikes the right balance between budget, time, and risk. This involves using internal policies such as the PPPM Policy & Standards, Spend Authorization and Financial Accounting & Reporting Policy along with the Enterprise Delivery Framework and the Change Initiative Risk Assessment Process (CIRAP)
- Financial Management: Maintain the currency of the project financials and the CSO portfolio to ensure strategic alignment of investments and the enterprise strategy. This includes estimating, scenario analysis, recasting, rolling forecasting and reporting
- Governance: Work in accordance with the CIBC PMO federated model to ensure the appropriate level of governance across the portfolio and aligned with the goals, priorities and oversight. This includes proactively ensuring that the delivery is executed in alignment to required practices to comply with corporate wide policies, use of the appropriate methodology, appropriate use of the deviation process, monitoring of CIRA risk and visibility
- Collaboration: Work jointly with partners to make informed decisions about the progress, development of programs, products, and services. Coach and mentor teams working towards a common goal. Negotiate deliverables and milestones whenever necessary.
- Change Management: Provide support on CSO projects, help to justify measurable benefits vs impacts for stakeholders, ensure changes are implemented to maximize adoption success and sustainability, illustrated through regular reporting
- Strategic Alignment: Apply your expertise to ensure alignment with the strategy, business objectives and desired outcome
- Delivery Stakeholder Management: Draw on knowledge of CIBC’s Enterprise Delivery Framework to manage relationships with the community of users and identify opportunities to build capabilities within the community
Who You Are
- You can demonstrate 5 years of experience in the field of Project and Program Management, through work experience in project delivery and through professional training. This should also include industry-related certifications. It’s an asset if you are familiar with CIBC’s Enterprise Delivery Ecosystem. You have exposure to governance and risk management, and understand the association with project/program delivery
