Job Description:

We're seeking an experienced cloud and analytics professional to enable enterprise-scale analytics and machine learning platforms. You'll design, deploy, and operate the data science workbench that drives data-driven decision making across the organization, applying sound technical judgment in production environments while influencing platform standards.

As a condition of the role, the successful candidate must obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance through Sun Life. What will you do?

  • Serve as SME for MLOps and enterprise model operations within the Analytics Platform
  • Design, deploy, and operate model evaluation solutions (foundational pipelines, Bedrock, Ground Truth, OpenLayer, LangMesh)
  • Support GenAI CI/CD deployment pipelines and centralized LLMOps evaluations across DEV and PROD environments
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure automation and deployment scripts
  • Ensure model lifecycle controls align with governance and operational risk management
  • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and respond to platform incidents with root cause analysis
  • Execute platform upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption
  • Collaborate with Security, Architecture, and Risk teams on vulnerability management, compliance, and governance
  • Enable analytics and ML teams with production-grade tooling and responsible AI practices
  • Influence MLOps standards and provide informal mentorship to team members

Preferred Experience

  • AWS core services (IAM, EC2, S3, networking) in production
  • MLOps, ModelOps, or LLMOps platform experience
  • Software development experience with Python, Java, or C++
  • Lambda Functions, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub
  • Model evaluation frameworks and AI governance
  • Bash or PowerShell scripting for automation
  • REST APIs and microservices architecture
  • Version control systems and agile development practices
  • Security, privacy, and regulatory compliance environments

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
