Sr Casino Gaming Planning & Strategy Partner
We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate to support the development, planning and execution of casino gaming strategic initiatives, in collaboration with the VP, Casino Gaming & Horse Racing and other departmental stakeholders, in order to grow and optimize the casino gaming business. The role will take a holistic approach to the casino gaming strategy including identifying and considering the competitive landscape, industry trends, player trends and both external and internal stakeholders.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the VP Casino Gaming & Horse Racing, you will be empowered to:
- Understand OLG’s strategic and competitive position and the broader casino gaming strategy in order to contribute to the development of omnichannel strategies by identifying opportunities to responsibly grow casino player participation.
- Support organizational alignment by understanding LBG’s vision and enterprise priorities, helping diagnose cross-team issues, and providing recommendations that improve prioritization and coordination across workstreams.
- Provide analysis and strategic input for the planning of long-term initiatives, ensuring plans are well-informed, data-driven and positioned for successful transition to relationship teams
- Work closely with Digital Product Owners and Centre of Excellence teams (ex. Enterprise Customer Strategy & Experience, Brand and Marketing and others) to help prioritize initiatives, share insights and support progress on long-term vision, mission, partnership opportunities.
- Contribute to and influence the application of the enterprise category and brand management strategy for casino gaming in collaboration with key internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with Digital and Lottery counterparts in order to identify and assess potential cross sell and upsell opportunities and support assessments that inform decision-making between channels. Act as a subject matter resource by supporting stakeholder discussions, helping remove barriers, and providing clear analysis and guidance to enable effective decision-making.
- Support the Casino Gaming Leadership Team in the execution of the overall customer experience strategy by leveraging customer insights, market intelligence, best practices and stakeholder feedback; facilitate the hand off to relationship teams to deliver on strategic opportunities (e.g., influence backlogs, marketing spend, contract strategy)
- Identify and bring forward potential opportunities within emerging and existing partnerships for review by VP, Casino Gaming & Horse Racing
- Facilitate the divisional planning process by designing processes and providing input that informs prioritization and investment decisions.
- Manage the tracking of departmental objectives and priorities, helping monitor progress and identifying areas where adjustments may support improved delivery.
- Monitor casino industry trends across North America and globally to surface relevant products, technologies and best practices for potential application in the Ontario market.
- Build effective working relationships across internal teams, support alignment, problem solving and collaborative execution of strategic initiatives.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME
Education & Experience:
- University Degree in Business Management, Law or a related field is an asset. MBA or other advanced degree is an asset
- Five (5) years of experience in a strategy or business development role
- Experience deploying strategies across multiple teams with competing objectives Experience working in an agile environment is an asset
