Why This Role Is Valuable
The Sr. AVP, External Communications will drive the external communications strategy for Revantage and deliver value-add communications support to Blackstone Real Estate portfolio companies. Supporting the SVP, Head of Communications at Revantage and the Blackstone Real Estate public affairs team, this role will provide strategic and advisory PR and issues management support across multiple partner companies. At Revantage, this role will develop, plan and execute the communications strategies that enhance our corporate reputation and align to our growth objectives. Additionally, as the Communications lead for the Dallas office, this role will provide support for communications relevant to our Dallas employee-base.
How You Add Value
- Lead and execute communications strategies that support business objectives and enhance reputation. Coordinate across key stakeholders, internally and externally, to provide external communications expertise and strategy
- Assess and support comms needs across Blackstone Real Estate portfolio companies; provide PR counsel, issues management support, materials review, and streamlined processes that enable partners to thrive
- Serve as a primary communications contact, overseeing media engagement strategy , crisis communications, external stakeholder outreach, and thought leadership at Revantage
- Oversee the company's awards & rankings strategy and submission process
- Serve as a communications partner for senior leadership across multiple departments, and as the communications point of contact for the Revantage Dallas office
- Review and develop messaging and Q&As, leadership messages, internal communications, digital and social media content, companywide invitations, and other materials, in partnership with the Communications and People & Culture team
- Support promotion of company events and executive speaking engagements; review/draft and approve briefing materials. Manage external speaker approval process.
- Manage agency partner relationships and build strong networks with key stakeholders and partners
- Serves as spokesperson for organization as needed
What You Bring To The Role
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field
- Minimum 10 years communications experience, specializing in media relations
- Strategic leader and creative thinker with a track record of supporting complex organizations in all aspects of communication
- Team player with a can-do attitude and the ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders across several organizations
- The ability to build an effective network of relationships with key external decision makers as a means of influencing and enhancing organizational reputation
- Project Management experience with proven ability to develop successful communications strategies which are effectively deployed across multiple audiences
- Excellent writer with strong ability to understand, clearly synthesize, and integrate complex issues in presentations, messaging documents and other communication(s) with key senior-level internal and external audiences
- Personal credibility in front of senior internal and external audiences
- Social Media experience
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred:
