Sr Applications Engineer

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality software solutions using modern front-end and back-end technologies, including React and Java, in support of enterprise business platforms such as Salesforce.
• Partner closely with product management, business stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
• Work with Enterprise Business Systems to integrate enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce) with internal and external systems through APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures.
• Champion code quality, testing, and automation through peer reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and proactive monitoring.
• Act with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability for delivering high-impact solutions that support business priorities.

This position is a hybrid working model (2 day per week)out of our Dynatrace office in Detroit, MI.

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building production-grade applications.

Preferred Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Java for backend development, including RESTful services and APIs.
• Strong experience building modern web applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience working with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, including integrations, customizations, or extensions.
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern development workflows.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or event-based frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bias toward action, ownership, and continuous improvement.

DOE, salary $105K - $115K, plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience/education and location.
