What you’ll be doing
The Equity Compensation team delivers competitive, strategically aligned programs that attract, reward and inspire our employees. As a Senior Analyst you will play a key role in the administration of CIBC’s Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) and Equity Plans, partnering with various CIBC internal departments and external service providers. You will provide the necessary operational and analytical expertise required to support CIBC’s equity compensation plans.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you’ll succeed
- Reporting and Analysis – Prepare regular analysis and reports for both Equity Compensation and other areas within CIBC (e.g., accounting, tax, compliance, payroll, senior executives, Board of Directors, etc.). Creation of these reports will involve analyses of varying amounts of data using Excel (i.e., using advanced formulas, statistical functions, pivot tables, lookups, etc.) and data reconciliation.
- Program Administration – Coordinate program administration, including maintaining and monitoring the life cycle of grants and the ESPP for our employees, and to develop a detailed understanding of the terms of the various plans (e.g. termination provisions and applicable tax and accounting implications.).
- Relationship Building - Interact regularly with all businesses and departments (Accounting/Finance, Technology, Legal, Corporate Services, etc.) to accomplish equity and ESPP administration tasks, and with other advisory or support units (such as Human Resources) when matters arise that require their involvement, or to develop and implement business process improvements.
Who you are
- You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information. You're confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.
- You understand that success is in the details. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.
- You're driven by collective success. You know that collaboration can transform a good idea into a great one. You understand the power of an inclusive team that enjoys working together to bring a shared vision to life.
- You're passionate about people. You find meaning in relationships, and surround yourself with a diverse network of partners. You build trust through respect and authenticity.
- Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work and you live our values – trust, teamwork and accountability.
