What we're looking for:
InStride is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and contribute to scalable processes that drive the success of our organization. In this role, you’ll collaborate across teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial transactions and reporting. Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager, Corporate Accounting, you’ll play a critical role in building strong financial systems within a fast-paced, growing company.

- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of general accounting practices and US GAAP, with a demonstrated ability to apply these principles in a dynamic business environment.
- Systems Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems, coupled with expertise in API integrations to streamline financial processes.
- Analytical Acumen: Exceptional analytical capabilities, with a meticulous attention to detail and a proven track record of identifying and resolving complex financial issues.
- Technology Skills: Mastery of Microsoft Excel and Google Drive, with the ability to utilize advanced functions for financial modeling and reporting.
- Project Management: Strong project management abilities, with the capacity to lead and execute complex financial initiatives independently and in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Communication & Collaboration: Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective collaboration across teams and with external partners.
- Judgment & Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial data.
- Adaptability & Prioritization: Adept at thriving in fast-paced, evolving environments, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet organizational objectives.
Who you are:

- You possess 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles within fast-paced and high-growth environments. A blend of Big 4 expertise and exposure to dynamic, entrepreneurial settings is highly valued.

How you will create impact:
- Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries for Fixed Assets, payroll, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis on complex financial issues, providing clear resolutions to internal stakeholders.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional projects, driving efficient and scalable accounting solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and quality control in financial transactions.
- Oversee payroll-related entries and maintain the general ledger’s accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
- Mentor junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and understanding of accounting principles.
- Support the year-end audit and tax processes, providing essential data and documentation as required.
- Continually look for ways to enhance processes and streamline operations, aligning with InStride’s growth and objectives.
Target base compensation amount for this role outlined below. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts shown below.
$80,000—$90,000 USD
