Job Details

Cencora is looking for a passionate, innovative and experienced SQL Server Database Developer V to join our Data Warehouse Team. Support our exciting transformation of data delivery operations to carry ICS into the coming decades of growth. This key role is responsible designing new and efficient data processing methods and refactoring current operations to match new standards. This role will collaborate closely with Business Intelligence, EDI, Account Management many other groups. As a 60/40 split between new development and operational production support, lessons learned from support will provide the insight needed to improve our platform and overall efficiency. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitoring and leading database development requests through their lifecycle and ensures that the technical solution meets business requirements.

Design of new centralized data processing methods and implementation of refactored code to meet the new standards

Evaluates designs from other groups and team members to ensure optimal efficiency and performance and supportability.

Ensures code walk-thru of systems solutions is completed.

Supports the ongoing operations, Level 3 and On-Call support.

Ensures all documentation (Data Mapping, Technical Specifications, Production Support, data dictionaries, test cases, etc.) is provided according to standards.

Examines post-implementation continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and helps developers to create and or performance tune database queries.

Provides technical assistance and mentors staff in relation to database design and development.

Ensures data management standards, policies, and procedures and single source data strategy is adhered to.

Develops work plans or reviews other work plan timelines and manages workflows to meet project timeframes.

Provides status to stakeholders.

Contributes to strategic planning meetings and provides guidance and expertise on system options, risk, cost vs. benefits, and impacts on business processes and goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

SQL Server – T-SQL 10+ Years

ETL Design and Implementation 8+ Years

SQL Server Administration 3+ Years

Data Warehouse Database Design 5+ Years

Transactional Database Design 3+ Years

One of the following

  • PowerShell 4+ Years
  • C# 4+ Years

Nice To Have

3PL Experience is a Major Plus

AS400, RPG Knowledge

Windows Server Administration 4+ Years

Experience & Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience. 6+ years of directly-related or relevant experience, preferably in application support or system/application/database administration.

Preferred Certifications:

CompTIA Server+

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)

Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert

Oracle Linux System Administrator

ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator
