About the Role
The Specialist, Learning & Development, will contribute to Magna's next practice of Leadership Development and implement Magna's learning strategy for the region. This role works across Divisions and Groups to align programs and policies to Magna's business and strategic priorities and provide insight and recommendations to support continuous improvement.
Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver global programs, focusing on implementation and adoption in Canada and USA, while ensuring learning is aligned to our global standards
  • Execute on continuous improvements for existing training programs with a focus on Leadership Development Programs such as adapting learning goals, methods and contents based on feedback from participants, trainers, or managers as well as based on changes in respective subject areas (e.g., generations in the workplace, etc.)
  • Execute regional program customizations and contribute to global version control of course materials for Leadership Development Programs of all levels
  • Support the Program Manager, L&D to administer training delivery of learning programs in Canada / USA and globally, including contracting, facilitator support, and participant management to meet Magna's business needs
  • Track and report on learning outcomes to demonstrate impact of programs to the business


Who we are looking for

  • 3-5 years of experience in Learning and Development
  • Degree or diploma in Business, Human Resources, or related field
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning evaluation
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical abilities
  • Experience in program design / instructional design and managing learning programs
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design process, learning evaluation and methods for measuring learning outcomes
