You will execute communications activities including publishing, measurement coordination and other operational activities across internal and/or external channels.
How you will contribute
In this role, you will execute media relations, government affairs, internal communications and community engagement activities across markets. You will monitor and measure communication channels and/or advocacy activity, including but not limited to traditional media, social media, media hotlines, lobbying audit and more. In addition, you will support operational activities to deliver key internal and external communication priorities, including content development and event planning execution, collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, and ensure activities are delivered within budget.

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and creative Corporate Communications Specialist with 1-3 years of experience in internal/corporate and or/ external communications. Agency experience preferred. The ideal candidate will be skilled in developing and executing strategic internal and external communications campaigns that enhance our brand's visibility and credibility and drive awareness and engagement with Mondelez Canada employees. The candidate will also have experience with creative design and digital communication platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, including journalists, editors, and influencers. Proactively / reactively develop stories and secure media coverage in relevant outlets.
- Content Creation: Develop compelling employee intranet articles and posts, graphics, videos, press releases, media kits and other content that aligns with our corporate and brand messaging and communication goals.
- Campaign Management: Support in planning, execution, and evaluation of public relations campaigns that support product launches, corporate initiatives, and other external communications efforts.
- Crisis Communication: Assist in managing communication during crises, ensuring timely and accurate information is distributed to stakeholders.
- Social Media Coordination: Collaborate with the social media team to amplify PR efforts across platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement with audiences.
- Event Support: Assist in organizing and promoting events, such as product launches, all employee events and industry events.
- Reporting & Analysis: Monitor media coverage and internal and external campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to inform future strategies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other internal teams to align communications activities with overall business objectives and strategy.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in, internal or external communications, preferably within an agency or corporate environment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content.
- Experience with creative design, digital editing tools and photoshop considered a strong asset.
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of social media platforms and their role in PR.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a public relations agency or consulting company.
- Experience with crisis communication.
- Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods or Food industry.
