Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and extremely organized individual for an entry-level Sourcing Project Manager position who brings hands-on experience in project management in a product-based company. This person will help support product development and direct sourcing initiatives for Sleep Country/Dormez-Vous and INC Brands (Endy, Silk & Snow, Hush, & Casper Canada), and will report to the Director of Sourcing. They will work closely with Sourcing team members and cross-functional departments to ensure all projects are running smoothly and efficiently. This person will be a key member of the Sourcing team, and an important part of driving successful product launches for SCC/DV & INC Brands.

Project Planning and Management

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to create product roadmaps across multiple brands and companies within the Sleep Country Holdings organization
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones
  • Track and communicate action items daily/weekly in order to keep projects moving efficiently
  • Work hand-in-hand with Sourcing team members to understand and document daily status updates on projects

Product Launch Processes

  • Help track/communicate key milestones reached and remaining actions needed
  • Gather and act as gatekeeper for all information on product details and status of projects
  • Create product launch plans
  • Plan ahead and communicate resources needed to complete each action item

Documentation & Reporting

  • Daily upkeep and administration of internal task management systems
  • Follow up with Sourcing team members to ensure items on product development checklists are being completed in a timely manner
  • Leading meetings to follow status updates 

Qualifications

  • Detail-Oriented: Pays close attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of project management
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Able to clearly convey ideas, expectations, and project updates to team members and stakeholders
  • Enthusiastic and Positive Attitude: Brings energy and optimism to the team, fostering a positive work environment
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Able to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions to keep projects moving forward
  • Adaptability: Flexible and able to adjust to changing circumstances and project requirements
  • Time Management: Efficient in managing their own time and the time of others to meet deadlines
  • Collaborative: Works well with others, promoting teamwork and open communication

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Degree, and/or equivalent education, training or experience is desired
  • 3-5 years of practical experience in project management role, ideally with a product-based company
  • Proven organizational capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud is a valuable asset
  • Adhere to deadlines and see tasks through to completion
  • Able and willing to take initiative
  • Solutions-oriented approach
  • Team-player
