About CoLab

At CoLab, we want to help mechanical engineering teams bring life-changing products to market years sooner.

CoLab is a cloud based platform for engineering design review. We make it easy for subject matter experts (SMEs) across your business to access, evaluate, and comment on 2D drawings and 3D models. Our built-in AI peer checker, AutoReview, scans designs for common errors or non-compliance with your standards and guidelines. AutoReview creates markups and comments on your files, in context – just like a human checker.

With CoLab, human SMEs and AI work together to help you make better decisions and improve designs faster. We automatically capture knowledge from across your global business that would otherwise be buried in emails, spreadsheets, slide decks, and unknown locations in Sharepoint or PLM. Then, we make sure every lesson learned and every design guideline is applied exactly when it matters.

Companies like Johnson Controls, Komatsu, Schaeffler, and Polaris have launched products 40% faster, cut BOM costs by 50%, and reduced quality escapes by 15% in 1 year.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Sourcing and Recruitment Specialist to support our sales hiring function. Reporting into the Manager of Talent, you’ll be responsible for building a bench of high-caliber candidates and coordinating a seamless recruitment experience from outreach to interview.

CoLab’s sales org is growing rapidly—and finding the right people at the right time is critical. Your focus will be on proactively sourcing talent, managing our outbound recruitment efforts, and supporting our hiring team with coordination and candidate experience. You’ll work closely with the Manager of Talent and hiring leaders to build and execute recruiting strategies that help us find and close top performers in competitive markets.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 1+ years of recruiting experience—either in-house at a tech company, or in an agency setting working with B2B tech clients—who’s looking to deepen their experience and make a bigger impact.

Our Ideal Candidate

You're sharp, motivated, and know how to find great talent and get their attention. You’re energized by the hunt—digging into profiles, finding patterns, personalizing outreach, and keeping the momentum going in fast-moving processes.

You’re also organized, detail-oriented, and dependable. You take pride in being reliable and responsive—to candidates, your manager, and the rest of the team.

This role is built for someone early in their career journey, who wants to learn and grow while making a real contribution. If you’ve got experience within SaaS or strong agency experience working with SaaS or tech clients and are looking to break into a startup environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities

  • Source passive candidates for Account Executive and other revenue-driving roles
  • Personalize and send outbound messages that stand out in a crowded inbox
  • Manage and maintain candidate pipelines using our ATS (Greenhouse)
  • Coordinate interviews and manage scheduling across candidates and hiring teams
  • Ensure a strong candidate experience from first contact through offer
  • Partner closely with the Manager of Talent to prioritize and drive hiring efforts
  • Support recruitment reporting and metrics tracking

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in recruiting, either in-house at a tech company or at an agency supporting SaaS/tech clients
  • Proven ability to source and engage passive candidates using tools like LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with an ATS (Greenhouse experience is a bonus)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Bonus: experience hiring for sales or GTM roles

Extra Details

  • This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive compensation package that includes stock options
  • Extended health and benefits package with unlimited paid vacation and RRSP matching
  • Our main office is in St. John’s, NL with hybrid and remote opportunities across Canada
  • This position must be located in either St. John’s, NL or Toronto, ON

Equity Note

Frequently cited statistics show that people who identify with historically marginalized groups are likely to apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. We encourage you to help us break that statistic and apply even if you don’t meet every single qualification—your potential is what matters most to us.
