The Opportunity:

The Solutions Developer is responsible for developing various software application solutions through computer programming to provide vital information to make business decisions and improve business processes

Key Accountabilities:

  • Foster a culture of Agile Development, adopting and coaching Agile tools, principles, and mindset.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain crucial applications in the .NET environment
  • Analyze, translate, and validate business requirements and processes and transfer into functional and/or technical requirements
  • Write high-quality C# and VB .NET code for Windows forms applications using Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Meet frequently with the Development team to observe progress, offer support and to stay on top of critical work and deadlines
  • Execute testing plans over-developed code to examine robustness and functionality
  • Leverage user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the finished product meets the customer's requirements
  • Develop, implement, and maintain NuGet packages, libraries and in-house integrations
  • Deploy software to ensure the finished product, revised versions and patches are accessible by end users through using various methods e.g. file system, web publishing, .NET’s ClickOnce and/or by building MSI install files using SCCM
  • Support existing code by implementing bug fixes, program and process improvements and new features to existing software
  • Develop queries in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) - deploy using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) when needed
  • Create and update process documentation for a wide variety of software, systems, and applications
  • Support a culture of user-centric thinking/ problem solving.
  • Participate in Development team rituals (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Retros, Stand-ups).
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What You Need To Be Successful In This Role:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Development/Engineering or related field
  • At least 3 years of related work experience
  • Strong proven working experience in: VB.NET, C#.NET, SQL
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft web frameworks such as Blazor, ASP.NET Core, classic web forms, etc.
  • Ability to develop low/no code solutions using suites like UI Path Studio (RPA), PowerApps, etc. are strong assets
  • Previous experience with code repository and lifecycle management in Azure DevOps / TFS and / or Git an asset.
  • Strong abilities required in: Office 365 suite (MS Teams, Outlook, Excel etc.)
  • SharePoint and Azure DevOps knowledge and / or administration experience is preferable
