What do we need
Protein Metrics, a Dotmatics Company is looking for a Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join our Professional Services team. You will lead the Business Analysis (BA), scoping, presentation, and documentation of deployment and integration of our cloud based Byosphere software. By leveraging your deep experience leading software implementations and your knowledge of Science & SaaS solutions you will inspire customer confidence. As the Pre-sales Architect you will be responsible for integrations that address the specific needs of our customers.
This role will give you the opportunity to work on Presales & Post Sales activities.
You will support customers in North America and Europe and serve as the expert voice and pivotal solution designer to ensure success for new and existing Byosphere customers. This role will involve sporadic travel to customers as required.
In this role you will get to:
Solution Architecture
- Scope architecture for proposed Byosphere deployments and upgrades in a customer facing environment
- Scope deployments of Byosphere (e.g., what components are needed, what use cases are required by the customer, what integrations are needed, what are the success criteria)
- Review and approve Scope of Work documents for Byosphere deployments
- Collaborate with CloudOps and Engineering for non-standard architecture requirements
- Scope professional services which may be included in Byosphere deployments and upgrades - integrations with other platforms, data migration services, etc.
- Collaborate with Product Management to feedback customer requirements for potential new capabilities or features related to system architecture.
- Ensure clear handover of architecture requirements to team members responsible for installation of the instance according to the SOW
- Ensure successful deployment by working with Customer Success, Sales, Enterprise Services and Engineering teams
- Identify gaps in our product and working with the product management and engineering teams to fill gaps
Customer Facing Pre-sales & Post Sales
- Understand scientist, IT, and security requirements, analyze existing environment, and design a solution which meets customer needs
- Guide customers toward the best and simplest solution using Protein Metrics Byosphere environment·
- Assist in responses to customer URS/RFPs and information security questionnaires
- Manage Proof of Concept and other customer trials
- Help grow Byosphere footprint across our customer base and expand integrations of Byosphere into new departments and new use cases
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Success & the Cloud operations team in offering post deployments support to customers
We are looking for people who have 3+ years experience working in a pharma/biopharma environment and hold a BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
The Key Skills we are looking for:
- Knowledge with relational databases (e.g: MySQL)
- Working knowledge of REST APIs
- AWS deployments of software
- Deep knowledge of “On Prem” environments , including network constraints, security concerns, firewall rules.
- Demonstrated ability to master new technologies
- Creating complex documentation
- Ability to lead customer communications and articulate complex ideas to non technical audiences
You may also have:
- Experience in ELN, LIMS, mass spec software or other scientific analysis software for biopharma analysis preferred
- Experience in B2B Product management
